Thanks. I appreciate the support. You never know how people are going to sway in these contests on here. I'm getting a vibe, but I've participated in too few to make any strong judgements.

Do you know where I can pick up paper for a drawing project? I've been wanting to do a new piece for a while and I don't really want to use printer paper.

Dick Blick on Michigan in Dearborn has a ton of supplies, you could always hit up D&M on Lily and Joy in Canton, or a Michael's (although M's is overpriced); or just stop by and ask.
Computer paper is ill-suited for drawing, especially in value.

I like D&M, but I don't remember what paper type/size they have. I'll check Dick Blick.
I feel bad freeloading off of school supplies.
Do you know any darkroom techniques that could alter an image during production? For example; someone told me salting produces great effects.

There's lots of techniques you can utilize to screw with the development process. Your best bet is to experiment during photo club and use a ton of test strips. Experimentation will be the thing that gives you uniqueness and variety to your work. Remember, though, that the base of your composition needs to be strong before you seriously mess with it.

Funny.
I haven't checked this in awhile - I have a tendancy to focus more on acting than aesthetics over the summer (that, and all my reference materials and supplies are locked up tighter than a convent for the summer renovations). Glad to see you here. Hopefully I'll see you in Painting or Advaced Draw in the near future.
Enjoy your relaxing off-time.

Ah, I understand. Being seventeen I'm not quite tied up in activities over the summer, so I have the time to preoccupy myself with the Internet and sleep.
I'll be taking advanced drawing this year, but I'm not sure who my teacher is.
And you enjoy your summer, as well.

Did you design those beer labels? I think they're called Flying Dog and Tire Bite and stuff like that....Your style certainly looks like 'em.

That peice on the front of your profile matches the style a bit. More so on some of their other beers, but I couldn't find their names.

Interesting. Looks also like the guy who did the cover for a number of Hunter S. Thompson books, like Fear and Loathing...
Thanks a bunch. I'm glad to be compared to someone so talented!

Well, you're pretty talented yourself.
Hunter S. Thompson was the gonzo reporter and journalist, right?
