Dude! Happy Belated Birthday, fellow Gemini!
Make up your mind on what camera -- your pictures of a quiet and desolate New York are sorely missed

Just to let you know, I've included a little of your artwork as part of a dedication journal to the friends and acquaintances I've made here. If you would like to be removed, just note me, and I'll warmly comply. Cheers!

No problem, i would really like to know what the best programs are and does it take a lot of practice to get decent? How long does a piece take?

Each program that I've worked with has its good points and its bad points. Chaoscope's interface is simple, so it's creations are likewise simple and easy to work with. Apophysis has all sorts of add-on, plugin, scripting, and post work. Incendia... That's next on my list when I get the Frankenstein beast built.
I can definitely agree though that it takes lots of practice. I've been working with Apophysis for over a year now, and I'm only just starting to get the hang of scripting, coding, editing and transforming... But then again I only approach my studies with it casually
And depending on the piece I'm rendering in Apophysis it has taken me anywhere for 40 minutes to my longest which took me more than 8 hours. I've seen people working on huge renders that have taken up to 27 hours.
Good luck; and if you have any questions, there's plenty of help out here for you to pull from

Thanks for all the info! I definitely like what you've done so far and I can't wait to get some of my own sh*t up. My best photographs try but some things you just can't do with film.

Welcome And thank you for the compliment for my humble work.
Just remember.. Don't be too hypercritical of your own work at the beginning. We were all beginners once and it takes a lot of practice to get used to the interface and editing in it.
Looking forward to seeing what you produce.
