Frankly, season 2, while I truly enjoyed it, has turned alot of the parts of the story I planned to weave in on its head. They introduced Retsuko's mother; I'm a little peeved the shows writers beat me to the punch on that one. I had plans involving her and Retsuko's father.

I think maybe the most I could do is tell about Retsuko's past boyfriends and dating life, from before she got with Haida.

I seriously considering either tagging this story as an AU because of the canon of the series or just leaving it at this point, because frankly I don't know where to start now. I'm not sure where to fit all this new stuff in unless I go through the whole story and change a whole bunch of elements to really stay true to the show.

I'm conflicted. I'm asking you, as a follower of the story, would you rather I continue the story as it is or should I end it at this point? You seem to know what you're talking about.

Why don't you go back through it and see how you could implement this into your story like a rewrite.

Hell with this you can have some of the people be in side chapters. And with Retsuko mom it could be that she wants her to marry a man of high class. I for one would definitely like to see that Polar Bear again with him and Retsuko end up being friends.

Honey the way you convey emotion and the fact that you were able to put in big emotional surprises, well to me your style of writing makes me think "Rebecca Sugar " but a lot more safer. The only critique I have is pacing, you seem to want to Finnish a story ark to quickly and miss the opportunity to really fleshen out the personalities of the side characters. Prime example is during the ring ark(I can now only call that section of the story that) you missed the perfect opportunity to fleshen out Haida's family and possibly give some details of how close Haida and Kirk were which would have made he beating him up much more surprising. Also it could have given the chance for you to deepen the relationship between Haida and Retsuko by having her form a bond with his family. All in all this is a long reply and to continue would be pointless. All in all you do not write well, you write the way you want to write, which is perfect.

Thank you very much, I know I can't write that good, which is why I'm so surprised and proud that it took off like it did. I guess I should slow down and work on pacing and things like that like that.

I will take your advice and go through and edit it a little better later on, fleshing out relationships and characters.
