Hey, nice gallery she has!
I'm dissatisfied with my jewelry photos (I think I need a light box) but what I've been doing is taking pics in natural light - I hang the earrings on a horizontal stick taped to a stand (bottle) and put white paper behind, then take the picture and edit out the stick in Photoshop.

I just made a light box to photograph her work (she hasn't posted any of those yet). I just cannabalized one of those "dorm-room" laundry baskets and sewed nylon onto the sides. I'm sure you could even make one from scratch without much trouble.

I like your idea for shooting earrings. I should try something like that because they look nicer hanging rather than laying flat.

That's too bad about the ebay thing. Make sure you file a complaint and get your money back, and if you paid with paypal- go through paypal and do it.

And also let you know that I am affiliated with a gallery that sells lots of earrings- not sure if it interests you or not- but they support women artists from all over the place, you would have to mail them etc, might not be worth your time in the end, but it's a thought- Note me if you are interested.

Thanks so much for the watch. I read your journal, and looked at your gallery. What struck me as odd, is that you said your work has no meaning- I have to disagree. Your jewelry is beautiful (I would buy those earrings if you sell them drop me a note) and- your ceramic pieces are moving. I love the energy in them. My undergrad is in ceramics- and I miss working in clay so much! I also make jewelry myself, although I am not nearly as talented as you are! I am going to watch you as well, can't wait to see more pieces! Thanks for sharing with me!
