I actually get a lot of practice in my drawing, but not much of it makes it to the scanner. I do admit that my drawing abilities still need polishing, though.

Wow! I agree with you about the movie. I've felt like I was sac-religious because I felt that way!!! But you are right! The part that bugged me the most is that there is no way to relate to this man who is suffering so much. The 2 scenes I really related with were Mary, when she was looking back at her child. Because I am a mom I was able to be touched there, and I cried; and the scene where the woman was trying to give Jesus a drink, because it was a scene that showed the possiblity of doing something. I could relate to that! But the rest of the movie, even though I am a strong Christian, I couldn't relate to. I felt like the person on the screen (as Jesus) wasn't anyone I knew, just some very unfortunate man who was being terribly mistreated. It made me feel numb, because there was nothing I could do about it!

Though I -DO- think there are some redeeming qualities to the film. Like I said, amazing costume/set design. And I do have to give a thumbs up for the guts to do the whole thing in the languages of the time. It really helped to give the effect of being in a different time, heck, a different world for that matter. It's just...tere are a zillion and one better ways to go about making a passion narrative than what they did. ; )
