Hi ! Yes, that's right ! I remember this.. Well, I just came back from Vanoise National Park about two weeks ago after having passed there six months.. Now I'm back in Pilat Regional Park.. That sounds less exciting but that's not so wrong.. My work in Vanoise is sadly ended now, I've been with my family for Christmas and New Year and now I don't really know what I'll do but some projects are slowly taking birth..

Wow okay that sounds great ... I mean staying that long in one area just to photograph? May I ask how you have financed that long time doing nothing else than staying there and taking photographs?

Well.. I wasn't there only to take photographs.. I took some photographs indeed, for sure ! But in fact I was there working for Vanoise National Park as "volunteer". In France, young people between 16 to 25 years old can become volunteer and we have to work for somebody to help in a cause as solidarity, culture, environment... (We call this "Service Civique"). We receive some money in exchange : about 550€ per month ! I was housed by Vanoise National Park so I could live easily.. That's how I did, but as I was working 35 hours a week, I hadn't so many time for photography.. Mainly that I came back at my parents regulary because my dad was ill. So, weekends were short !

Ah, I see! Even if you hadn't so much time for photography it sounds like a good time. And I hope your dad is doing well now! I guess I would love to live not that far away from the French Alps. Since my last time in the French Alps which was in autumn 2013 I've been to New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States but for sure I miss the French Alps. The be alone and free was never that nice as it is in the Alps!

Thank you so much . This is maybe one of the most beautiful compliment I've heard about what I do.. And this is so important for me as I truly love photography since a long time.. Guess photography is one of the things that make me live .. Photography, nature, and.. books .

My pleasure! I love nature... I've grew up around a natural world in the rural country... Nature is perfect in every way

Oh yes.. Actually I still never read it... I know I must, and I'll do as I have the books at home... But for now, I've just finished a book this morning and I think that the next one will be a Victor Hugo's one. He is the only poet I really love to read .

Oh thanks this is a very nice compliment.. I've been photographying for about six years now... so I started at the age of 13 oO... something like that. I've always loved nature photography... At the begining I used to photograph during the holidays with my parents... it was not so easy beaucause I couldn't do whatever I wanted... Since a few months I'm more free to do what I want, I start to travel alone and I'm free to wake up at 4 a.m. just to enjoy wonderful lights in the morning... Light is one of the most important condition for photography..

Hi ! Thanks for your message . Well, I just come back from a five weeks "travel" in Vanoise National Park in the Alps, and I think I can say that Plan du Lac (Termignon) is one of my favorite place (if you want you can see two pictures of this place on my gallery, maybe it can help you to do your choice, I will submit others later..). It is really a wonderful place easy to join and you have a wonderful view on la Grande Casse (highest summit of Vanoise)... I want to go their in autumn too because it may surely be beautiful with yellow grass and fist snow...

Not too far from this there is also la Vallée de la Clarée near Briançon which is also one of my favourite place in the Alps... Also wonderful in autumn...

Wow five weeks sounds really great! Where have you also been? I have seen the photos in your gallery and I have been two times in the area of Plan du Lac! If the grass turns to yellow there it's indeed wonderful - sadly I got now clouds then and I'm not satisfied with my composition but anyway it was a pleasure to be there (abload.de/img/img0925img0927v1… & abload.de/img/img0940img0944vf… ! Funny enough I also have been in the Vallée de la Clarée - Cascade de Fontcouverte is my favorite waterfall. I would suggest to visit Lac d'Allos, Lacs de Fenetre, Lac de Chesery and a hill which is in the south west of Lac d'Emosson - these are my favorite areas!

It was really great indeed, but it was five weeks of, I don't know how we say that in english, training period ?... hum it'is when you're still at school and you go formate yourself in a firm... So as I am in a photography school, and as I love nature photography, I had my "training period" in Vanoise National Park... I worked for them as a photographer ! It was awesome, I learned a lot of things ! But I didn't have lot of time for me .

So I see that you ever well know the Alps .. I don't know the places you say... ever heard about that but never gone there.. I'll do ! I've just seen a photograph of le Lac de Fenêtre from a photograph I like, his name his Xavier Jamonet, and it really seems wonderful...

Hum in the Alps, I've also been in Haute-Savoie, there is Sixt Fer à Cheval which his a fantastic place... Bise, near Thônon-les-Bains, is also, to my mind, a very nice place, maybe not so photogenic but I always feel completely at ease there... There is also Champagny-le-Haut (still in Vanoise), from where you can go to le Col de la Grassaz, and there you have a wonderful view on la Grande Casse (I truly love this mountain....). Well that's it, I also visited south Alps but I was young and I don't really remember... Guess there are a lot of things to see in l'Oisans and also in Mercantour and Ecrins National Parks...

Haha I wouldn't call something like that training period - I would name it a dream or heaven. Thanks for your suggestions - perhaps I will visit some of them this autumn. I'm counting the days until then to get rest again.
