Buddy has a gig in Lower Lake this weekend! Saturday, July 24th. Doors open at 4pm, music starts at 6pm. Bands playing are Idomeneo (Buddy's band), Diatom (*gag*) and um, Nothing Brighter.

it wasn't an avatar , for sure ! see the "savage ver." of avatar and "references" at my gallery , this was em ! and the trick is , i never kill the source files or source images or layers. they must stay in state what they was.
I used photoshop to make the mix and anim , in first frame the hand was normal at references, and in second i rotate em' and mask em on each other to spawn the depth ! [sorry there is not any step by step Tut

The handbook is on there for the fair, but it looks like they haven't updated it yet, it has last year's dates on it still. I've entered photos in the fair since High School 
Not only do you get your artwork viewed by thousands of people, but you can win cash prizes, too. Only $5-$20 per piece, but I usually always take home a few ribbons which will end up covering my entry fees.
The Sacramento fair's deadline is like April, I forget about it every freaking year! Yep, just looked it up, it was April 30th... JUST missed it!
