Well, having several Star Wars OC's: two Jedi and several Clones I should be able to help you out. I'd go on Wookieepedia to find the known Force Sensitive species to start if you're making a Jedi or Sith

Your OC actually does look a lot like aΒ Shistavanen (a wolf like species in the Star Wars EU). They can be Jedi as well so you could always have a look at them on Wookieepedia and go from there.
