# About me
Hello deviant-ers! (is that a term?)I'm Jamie, if you couldn't tell by my username!
I try to bring my "pixie soul" into my photography (mostly referring to me being 5'2")
Feel free to send me messages, or comments, and I will respond to all of them! It doesn't even have to be about photos! Questions, comments, concerns galore!
If you use Instagram, my username is Jamie_Rose, feel free to comment, like, follow, whatever you want! Same thing goes for here!
I'm not allowing printing of my photos because I thought if I got enough watchers, I could do a contest kind of thing, but if people ask to print, of course I would edit the setting for the photo :)

It's awesome! You do that by leaving the shutter speed on right? Have you done painting with light?

If you have a DSLR camera (like a Cannon T1i, Nikon D500, ect.) you leave the shutter speed on for 30" or manual, and you click the button to take the photo, then using a flashlight, you point it at the camera and draw whatever you want! I'll upload a photo of it to show you!

i just purchased a canon SX30IS. It isnt quite a DSLR, but it's nice, and i like it. digital screen and manual view, 35x zoom. Not bad, for a point and shoot. I figure once i'm older and i have a job it will be easier saving up for a nicer camera.

Hurrah for Canons! They're great cameras, and I got my camera because my uncle is a photographer, so he understood my wanting of a good camera, so I picked one out and two of my aunts and uncles got it for me for my birthday. Convincing family members to do conjoined gifts works miracles!

i like nikons, they take great photos but i find the quality of the actual cameras to be quite crappy. Two of my nikons have broken, so i finally resorted to Canon. I cannot waiiit to use my new camera! i first have to pay off the debt i have on it, though.

Canon's actually have more megapixels then Nikons (I think his has 14/15 and my camera has 17/18). My cousin has a Nikon D5000, and I have the Canon T1i (they're rivals, but the Nikon is a bit more expensive), and they have the same settings but the difference in photos is sometimes obvious, my photos have a much cleaner look then his, but the D5000 is nice because the screen can move, like come out and tilt downwards, which is why I considered it, because being 5 feet 2 inches makes it difficult to take some photos! But I love my Canon

My canon has a flip/tilt screen, actually. i think Nikon gives off a more vintage color, whereas Canon is clean fresh color. And it surprises me that Canon's have more, because whenever i crop a photo with my canon it tends to get all grainy, where with my Nikons that never happened. Maybe it's because i have a lower-end camera. hmmm....

The non-DSLR Canons, are not good, I will say that the non-DSLR Nikons are much better. It's a crazy debate between Nikon or Canon!

i agree with your statement on canons- but i disagree when it comes to Nikon. They do take amazing photos, if that's what you're talking about, but the quality of the actual camera is crap. Both of mine have broken, for reasons that weren't my fault.

I get what you mean, and I didn't mean that the photos aren't good, because all DSLR photos are good, it's just some camera's outside quality's are nicer, also that my hands are smaller, the Canons are better for me, in that sense. I don't think you can go wrong with either brand of camera.
