Favorite writers: See above! i do like some of Philip K Dick's works as well, don't get as much time to read as i would like though, going to be starting on the 'crystal singer' soon as i intend to produce designs for that world in my major project this year
Favorite games: Doom, Half Life 1, Enjoy the COD series, Assassins Creed series, quite like the lego franchise titles for fun
Favorite gaming platform: used to be PC, been PS3 for ease of use for a while

Hi there mate, I know I haven't been in touch for a long while.
Been looking at what you have been up to and it's amazing to see how your work has come on in just a year. Learning with Jordan and the others must be a massive help.
Im only so sad I couldn't be there too.
I follow Jordan's page and notice how he does it so I try and learn that way from him.

Hi, Don't worry about it! i haven't been doing much with DA really as i just need to work. Yeah its been good having people like Jordan on the course particularly with the environment stuff he does and how quickly he can put them together, didn't really have a clue how to do that until he did a bit of a practical demonstration.
Thanks, yeah its going to come around far too fast! trying to use the time as well as i can because it does sometimes feel like a race to improve but it is all going fairly well, do feel the pressure of time though.
Yeah hope all is going well with you too, we are planning to have an exhibition at the uni in a gallery in July Maggie has found space for, come along have a nosy and meet us all!

Yes, time is a problem mate for sure. I too have been caught up with workload so I know that score but also there is the sad reality that I'm bound by legal jargon which states I cannot post what I have done but that is all part of the game.
With regards Jordan it's always helpful when someone shows you in person but the way to go but I have just had to study his work and through that I have seen how he works his magic.
With regards the pressure of time too buddy, it is never easy and I have been there many-a-time. I would say it is best to get used to it now because in the business you may well be there often! I will say one thing though James from what I have seen from you work wise. You are in a better position than what I was in when I was on the course, just keep at it!

Yeah that's the way of it, yeah NDA's are a bit of a bitch but still its good to be getting work that requires them if that makes sense?
Yeah time will always be a problem but thats the nature of the business, feel lucky at the moment because i have a certain amount of control whilst at the university over how my time is managed, 'real' work is going to be tough!
Thanks, i'm trying very hard as i said to use the time as well as possible and learn as much as i can, now is the time to do it!
I think the plan is to start on the 29th of July for two weeks but it has only just been brought up and we are currently in the end phases of these modules so as you can imagine its a busy time. I think we'll look at it in more detail once that handin is done. I know i am having a week off at the start of June so probably talk about it then, i'll keep you in the loop as to what we do, equally we will be doing some work in the labs over the summer so if it works out you would be welcome to pop along to one of those sessions.

Oh yeah I know what you mean mate, I'm not grumbling about that aspect NO WAY! It's just still a bit of a pain!
For sure the real work will be hard I can tell you now, especially if you are freelancing at the moment like myself.
With regards the exhibition and whatnot thanks for the preliminary date but please do keep in touch James about that when things settle down. I'd be very interested indeed to see what you guys have been up to and have the chance to socialise with you all.
