# About me
Hello, and welcome to my page!My name is JP. I mostly draw anthropomorphic animal-people (I say they're people that happen to look like animals, but you're free to think otherwise!) and retro-futuristic scenes.
I am a fan of vintage television, music, antiques and automobiles- specifically air-cooled Volkswagens. I tend to be an introvert- to a fault- but if you start a conversation with me on one of these subjects, I'll gladly speak volumes with you!
I'm not sure if I 'identify' as 'furry' or not, but... hey, I don't care either. I have chosen to 'identify' as 'magpie' when it comes to racial-ethnicity. Don't ask.
Also, for the record, I am male. 100% male. I'm a boy. Always have been, always will. I say this because 'Jackie' is also short for Jacqueline. Think 'Jackie Robinson', not 'Jackie O'.

I know. Whenever I've gotten the chance, I'd see when you'd go on and log off. Have you ever considered checking out anyone else's artwork? That you might like?

Yeah, of course I have. I just don't... browse the site as much as I used to. Besides, they really messed up the 'search' results by limiting how far back the results go. You need a Core membership to see older images.

Yeah.
Like looking at a different website entirely, with a better user interface and more results that apply to my interest. (I.E. Anthro. )

Me knows they do. Now you're making me think of when I drew a kitten from a cat book years ago. x3

...In hindsight, probably not. My bad, Sweet. I was thinking of those silly "how to draw" books.

It isn't, and no worries. My cat book is just basically a book that has a bunch of pictures of cute cats. I think there is some info inside of it, but mostly pictures. I did at least two sketches from it. If not three. One black and white kitten that was in a vase (super fuzzy), and one who was taking a catnap on a comfortable peace of cloth/blanket.

Sketching animals is what I used to be into. Nowadays I love writing and drawing my characters.

I suppose you're right. Right now my focus is writing, but there are many pictures that will be posted in time, along with the stories I come up with. Looking forward to getting to a few fanfictions at some point. Not to mention comics. But, one project at a time.

Hey there. There was one little thing I forgot to add. In the rp, I forgot to say that Keya side kicked the bully's butt before he got too far away from him. XD Though I think I may save that for another time in the story.

Okay. though I don't know if I was specific with the bird getting stomped on. I was trying to imply that that happened once, instead of multiple times.

It was fun.
Early in the morning my dad and I went to church to help them clean out a 'storage room'. They kind of... 'baited' me with my interest in audio stuff, though... and told me about a month in advance about a bunch of old speakers that were left over from when the church building was still a movie theatre. Then, today, I get there, and... all of the speakers I wanted were in the trash. Needless to say, after dropping SEVERAL hints over the course of the month, and EVENTUALLY just coming right out and saying that I wanted them to save me those speakers... well, I wasn't too happy. So TO THE DUMPSTER is where I went first, then I helped everybody else.
(The speakers worked and sound great, too! It's a shame they didn't actually TEST them first. )
After that I pestered my dad into calling my Great Aunt (the one who let me go through all of my Great Uncle's junk... if I've even told you about that..!) to see if we could go over to her house- because yesterday she called and told me that she was giving me a freaking tractor, one that specifically sparked my interest in home-grown engineering as a kid. So now I have a little red tractor. Or a BIG red tractor, depending on who you ask; my parents keep saying it's bigger than they remember.
As you can tell, I've had a pretty fun day. How was your day?

Sweet-Gem In reply to Jackie-Pijjin [2018-03-04 03:35:53 +0000 UTC]
Wow, you've certainly had an eventful day. I'm glad you got some cool items, that were actually functional. It's funny how some people jump to conclusions before finding out for themselves if something works or not.
My day was very busy. I've been on my feet all day, folding and organizing clean laundry. I couldn't stand how the storage room next to the laundry room looked anymore. There was literally a hill of laundry that covered the floor, and the blankets, towels, sheets, and pillow cases were mixed with each other in each tacky stack.
It took hours to get most of the room in order. Putting matching folded laundry stacks on the shelves. I tell you, organizing my drawers is nothing compared to that. needless to say, I was exhausted when I got home. Though, I was glad I had a productive day. I also had a little pizza.
I believe next Tuesday, I'm goin to experiment on earning this one dog at the shelter, trust. I already did research on how to do it.

I wish I was able to see what was under all the other crap, too... but it was all fabrics and cardboard and it was so piled-high that I couldn't get past it.
Also one of the guys in the band said to unplug all the amps before moving them... and since I know a little about audio equipment, I did so-
...And then I found out he was joking. I've told you how... literal-minded I am, right? It's really inexplicably difficult for me to process 'sarcasm' unless it borders on obscene or stupid, so... Hey, I was just following orders. Thankfully, they weren't mad about it; it had to be moved eventually, anyway.
Ooh, busy busy busy.
Pizza pizza pizza.
Ooh, I hope you share how that goes! AFAIK, you've got to show submission while also being firm with dogs. I'm really not a dog-person, though. Something about stooping to their side, and putting a hand in front of them. Again, IDK.

Sweet-Gem In reply to Jackie-Pijjin [2018-03-05 01:00:54 +0000 UTC]
Well I can sure tell you what was under the laundry in the storage room. -_- It feel like an eternity since it was last straightened out. Also, wow. Also, I don't blame you for going through with what you were told. Even if it was a joke. I've been there too.
Yeah, cold pizza, since I came in the lunch room later. Although, I didn't know they'd have it ordered though. However, Fridays or Saturdays is when someone may order pizza sometimes.
Yes, it is true that you have to show submission. I read that you have to be quiet and calm, don't look in the eyes, come approach on the side, and never the front, let them come to you. In this case, I'd be doing the steps from outside of the kennel. I'll also be using treats, and seeing if he wouldn't mind the leash I have.

Eh, they weren't too bothered, tbh. And the sound system worked this morning, so I didn't mess it up too bad, lol.
Cold pizza, late in the breakroom? Sounds like MY job, too. They'll order food and not tell us in the warehouse. Or my dad in the store, who would come and get me if he knew of it.
Oh well.
Yeah. Good luck with him. I have a feeling he'll like you.

Well that's good. Bravo for you.
Actually, normally there would be an announcement if there is food in the lunchroom. I just didn't go because I was trying to get as much done as possible in the room I was straightening out, which I'm going to continue doing tomorrow. I'm just glad that working at the shelter is a job I enjoy.
Thanks involving the german shepherd. I figure if I could train/socialize hamsters whom I thought were untrainable, I could do the same for a dog. Just need to use caution.
