# About me

Photography is a relatively new creative outlet for me. I have always expressed my creative side through writing and aspired to become a published author. There is a saying: Write what you know. I have taken that thought and applied it to my photography. I take pictures of the things and places I love and of new destinations and experiences. My intent is only to share a moment in time as seen through my eyes. I hope you enjoy the beauty of the world as I see it.

I feel that an image in black and white portrays a simple elegance and I enjoy the contrast of light and dark using only natural lighting.

I have a camera I don't know how to use as well as I should. I have no formal art education. I have more projects than I have the time to finish, but I have found that looking through the camera lens causes me to stop and look at the world around me, take that deep breath and slow down a little.

How many times have you driven by that old barn that is falling apart and never gave it a second glance or thought? How often have you gone to the shore and sit long enough to watch a fog roll in?

If my photographs accomplish anything, I would hope to inspire one to slow down a bit, breathe in some country air and look around for yourself. You will find beauty too.
