is adding a few bones and removing the edge line from a model in pmx editor considered an edit?
because i like to remove the edge lines from models i downloaded in pmx editor so i don't have to remove them in mmd, and i use the semi-standard bones plugin to give a model the ik bones, toe bones, and 2nd upper body bone if it doesn't have either of those bones to make posing easier and make using canned motion data less frustrating to use. really these edits are just to make using the model easier

But in your case, you apparently "fix" a model.
If you don't majorly change the model appearance and you still credit the original owner(s), I think that's okay.
(Fixing bones is allowed. I think)
