The English longbow made England the foremost power in Europe during the 14th and 15th centuries. England's armies became the most feared units in Europe and almost every battle fought was won by an intelligent utilization of massed archers and men-at-arms. The average English Military Archer could fire 12 to 15 arrows per minute and hit a man-sized target at a minimum of 200 yards. The maximum range was about 400 yards with flight arrows. Modern tests have verified that this was indeed possible. A 700-800 grain arrow can pierce 9 cm of oak at close range, and 2.5 cm at 200 yards. No armor up to plate was proof against an arrow at less than 200 yards, and even plate could be penetrated at less than 100 yards.
The medieval knight had no protection against the arrows of the longbow. The English gained great victories over the French at Crecy, Agincourt and Poitiers. The power of the longbow was so great that at the Battle of Crecy, in 1346, the French army was decimated. It is estimated that nearly 2000 French knights and soldiers were killed by the longbow arrows. The English lost just 50 men! The French Knights were not just mortified by their defeat but also because they had been defeated by common peasants. The cries of " Nock! Mark! Draw!" would have resounded across the English battlefields of the Middle Ages.

He stares emptily forward. He cannot watch, so he doesn't. He forces Arthur to watch instead. And he knows, with satisfaction, that he is watching as well from within the crowd.
The priest is done listing all her supposed felonies. France steps forwards, knowing it is his time. Whispers of gossip begin immediately.
He stands stone cold, not showing any emotion.
"My dear, my France," Jeanne says lovingly, her eyes watching with mixed emotions as he comes forward. Britain grows impatient.
"Be silent."
The words are ice, and pierce almost all belief of romance between the two. The gossipers instead talk of Jeanne claiming to have his love for attention.
"France," the king, the familiar French accent meets Britain's ears, and he leans forward. No one recognizes him from beneath his cloak, "start the fire."
"My love!" Jeanne says more firmly, leaning as much forward as the ropes around her allow. France leans forward as well, but only to make a spark.
Panic grips the woman, and she begins to cry.
"France!" she sobs, "France, please!"
He says nothing.
"My dear!" she wails, and her voice is reverberating off the sudden silence.

A single tear, followed by many, had begun to fall from France's eyes.
Britain feels no satisfaction.

The madness was suddenly extinguished as the English stepped forward to dig through the ashes and rake back the coals to reveal her charred body. Britain pushed past his rival weakly, realizing that she was gone.

Arthur looked offended; this wasn’t really the first time that someone had called
him short. “No, I’m tall enough... by the way, who are you?” He asked an raised
an eyebrow.

"Yo Iggy, wha-" he stopped, Alfred noticed the strange appearance the other had, he blinked but then grinned thinking the Brit was probably reminiscing the "golden days" and continued, "What're you dressed up for ? Some costume party?"

“Sir, are you really trying to insult me? My name is not Iggy and I’m not trying
to dress up.” It wasn’t easy to stay calm but he had manners and knew how to behave.

to walk away; this man seemed to be insane if he thought that Arthur knew him. “And
what’s wrong with you? What in the world are you wearing?”

"Me??" Alfred gaped a bit, maybe the Brit had finally lost it?! He shook his head and cleared his throat, fine, he'll go along with this little crazy game Arthurs cooked up.

Arthur sighed his sight was almost back he ad a day left before the spell he cast will finally work, walking around head course in a book. A history book of how ironic it will be when he looks up, what he did not so long after stopping "huh..?" he squinted to try and focus on the other, he pushed his glasses up and could see a fuzzy version of was that himself?. He examind the other and spoke up "'ello are you a knight?" least he didn't want into the other to strike up a convo, for someone who was pretending to be able to see properly he was doing a good job

Arthur had been lost in this weird place for quite a few days and it made him
happy that someone had finally noticed him. “I am not a knight sir but a longbow
and my name is Arthur Kirkland, what is your name?” He asked and a small smile
appeared on his face. The man in front of him was wearing quite weird clothes
but he decided not to ask, that would have been rude. There were so many other
questions that he wanted to ask but had to wait.
(Haha, no xD I like this start… I hate when people only write something like “Hello”
or “H-how are you?”, especially if it’s an OC. You described the whole situation

raised his voice, this man was starting to annoy him. “Didn’t your mother tell you
to not lie? It is really rude.” He continued in a stern voice. “What is your real
