Phantom is one of four biological clones of Mega Man X. His design and abilities are based on X's stealth capabilities.
History
As one of four guardians of Master X, Phantom was appointed general of the Zan'ei army, which specialized in stealth missions and Anti-Resistance intelligence. His first encounter with Zero was in a factory that had been taken by the Resistance. After his defeat, he informed Zero that he had placed bombs throughout the factory as a counter measure. During the second, and fatal encounter with Zero, Phantom sacrificed his life, initiating his self destruct sequence in an attempt to kill Zero to keep him from reaching Master X.
Personality
Phantom is a calm, quiet individual of unwavering loyalty. When it comes to those who would oppose his Master or Neo Arcadia, he is merciless and disdainful. This latter trait is also shown to Reploids that he deems to be useless and outdated-- a certain Zero in particular.
Abilities
Phantom's fighting style and abilities revolve around various ninja-like arts, such as stealth, deception, and misdirection. In his arsenal are smoke bombs, a katana-like blade, and a large shuriken, which can break apart into several kunai and serve as a flying platform. His EX skill makes the whole background dark and throws 4 kunai in different directions. He also possesses his Armed Phenomenon, which is a bat-like form. In this form, he is able to aim and fire the tips of his wings as giant blades and close his wings to assume a large, kunai-like form.
