I'm still that lame butt that writes fanfiction because I'm unoriginal, lol.
Nah, it's not because I'm unoriginal. It's because I'm not in school anymore so any motivation to write my own stories has been thrown out the window. I've been trying to get it back, but no such luck.

I joined a bigbang for a farming game (Bokujo Monogatari/Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons/whatever people are calling it now) where they want writers to write at least 10K words or more. So I've been writing a backstory for two of the characters and adding some details into it. I'm at 11,426 words and no where near done with completing the story. It's due in September.

I'm always about fantasy novel/la! I just have a problem writing my own and giving them backstories.
Oh, they aren't even mine. Sure, I'm adding more details to it, but I'm literally just taking two characters that are in the games and just giving them a backstory. It's explained in the games a bit, but I'm just expanding more into it. ... In 12,621 words....

You know, I wish I knew! I'm starting to think I always had that problem, even when I was writing my own original stories. I have this merperson character and I have a name and look for him, but I have NOTHING for his backstory. Okay, that's a lie. I have bits and pieces, but can't connect them to be complete. I am trying for him, at least.
Still, I would do ANYTHING to get back in track about writing original stories.

I will! ... If I ever write it. I've been trying to do research on like... what would happen to him if I let his life play out like that? Like, it's so strange, but I always had it in my head that he basically killed his mom when he was younger as a result his bipolar disorder? And I don't know the penalty of something like that... So far, I've just said they put him in an institution for a majority of his life.
