Wow, I haven't visit your page in awhile x__x
Geez, what's with all the hidden comments?

Hantsuki In reply to AiroLamb [2012-03-26 20:15:46 +0000 UTC]
Haha, I used to use my laptop on campus often, but it was slow so I would hide the comments to make the page load faster. Plus, I don't have to scroll so far down. Now I continue to hide comments after a while out of habit.
By the way, how have you been? C:

Haha, I get it now XD It may load faster, but it makes the page look a tad, please excuse my choice of word, hideous.
I've been so bored since I have little motivation to do anything lately >__>

Wow o.o Haha in truth I actually have written and researched an 8 page paper in about 8 hours ! Twice actually ... Lucky for me, my teacher thinks I am a great writer so, I managed a good grade on both papers ;
Nicely done though Sensei! You only did the one day research paper in your second semester! Most people do it within the first few weeks of the first semester in college ever..
I'm sure you did good work! What was the topic anyways?
Um, yeah, I do not like B's seeing as how all of my classes were pretty darn easy. Also, it doesnt help that I have to transfer, and I am competing with kids who maintain 4.0 for all two years. Hopefully I do better this next semester and somehow find a way to retake those B classes when I finish all my needed units.
As for experiences, I have to tell you the truth, community college really isn't that much of a change. I mean the only difference I'd say is that I've met some random people, like a few ex-marines and one of my math classmates who traveled with a band and started working at the cheesecake factory. I also know that being you're own driver kind of lowers the incentive to wake up and go to school... Other than that, I feel I've been to occupied with Amy, and haven't really tried to experience much else. I thought of joining some clubs on campus, but they lost my id, and finding club leaders in my college is like a freakin goose hunt, so I gave up on that. OH! I helped promote Calpirg during the elections and I learned that many people in my school can play musical instruments in broad daylight! Hmm, oh I went to see two plays for my musical theater class, which were both very good. Frankenstein and Scapino! were some interesting plays Other than that though, not many amazing experiences haha

What were you writing about? And actually, that was my third semester; first semester of second year.
I was writing about one of the most influential books in America (which I'm sure you never heard about because I didn't until last semester when I had to read it). It was Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, and my thesis was that Stowe's ultimate goal of her novel was to preserve the national interests of the supreme race (the whites) even though her main argument was to end slavery now. And since the Cult of Domesticity denounces that women are more pious than men, she constantly has the women taking action to preserve the nation's interests. It sounds complicated, I know, and if that made any sense, it sounds wonderful when I say it like that, but I admit my execution was terrible.
I can imagine my professor reading my first page (which is my intro, yes, a whole page) and then I see his expectations rising until he turns the page and then he just slowly falls into a depression reading all this bs. It makes me want to go bury myself alive thinking about it.
Well, if you ever figure out how to retake those B's, tell me. I would gladly retake a math course to substitute the B grade for my Calculus course.
That's good. You need some art in your life, especially poetry, but music and theater work too. Well, it sounds like you can manage yourself, at least by the way you sounded when you were helping Daniel on Friday. I'm not worried about you, but you should stop causing yourself any unnecessary stress. Live life a little bit. Hell, I'm scared to death that I might not be able to make the leap from being a student to a professor. Nah, before that I'm scared shitless about the GRE and competing against students who will graduate from Ivy League schools and even UCs, but I won't lose sleep over it. I just know that when the time comes, if it's meant to be, I'll overcome any challenges I have to face and get into graduate school. And if I don't, something else was meant to be, and I'll just have to figure it out again.
Have more confidence in yourself and you'll do fine. Talk to anyone and everyone you can; participate whenever you can; after all, you have an advantage because you're very sociable unlike me, so take advantage of that! Besides that, figure out what your priorities are. If you've always wanted an average job and a big family with children, don't stress too much over your academics, but if you're seeking something more, get your ass in gear son!

Oh. I didn't notice you replied already. Haha.
Yes. I promise to study properly AFTER I finish my Theater class. It won't be long. It will end at the end of the month, so I have a whole month to study whatever I want (and it will be Japanese for your sake and mine).
I hope you're not becoming a drunk after drinking all that liquor. It's interesting though that I just watched an anime called Bartender. Now I'm not completely clueless about alcohol.
Okay. I get it. Thanks for telling me.
Gosh. You're having me look up so many kanji characters. ;-;

Ah, you are more fortunate than the high school students around here. They get out on the 23rd! Not that I'm complaining because I'm visiting my old AP Literature class every morning as a means of motivation to wake up early so I don't end up sleeping late and being useless all day.
Thank you! Hope your grades turn out decent or whatever it is you want out of them. : P I hope you're at least trying to aim for one A, aren't you?

Haha yeah, at least one. The rest, hopefully, will be B's. Let me check my grades...
F, B-, C, B, A-, C+
...Ah jeez. That F will be taken care of. *readies the bazooka and missiles*

Hantsuki In reply to CodytheMaster [2010-05-26 16:12:38 +0000 UTC]
No, no. You must earn a better grade than that F. No bazookas now. Violence doesn't solve everything. At least not permanently, only temporarily.
