# About me
I cannot recall how long I have been running Bella Barocca. It started out as a restaurant Grandpa Romulus use to run, after he left Feliciano and I decided to add an artist's gallery of the paintings Grandpa painted. After a while Feli and I then started to compose of artwork and we thought they would look great in the gallery. I never liked painting much, I much so preferred cooking. The sounds and the colors sparked whenever I worked the stove. So, the the gallery became Feli's responsibility and I worked in the kitchen and maintained the restaurant. It was perfect! Bella Barocca was the hot spot of Venice and all of Italy. Though, in later years I started to notice that Feli's art is starting to stir the city, enough that the people demanded an exhibit.I noticed myself not being as happy as before, I still loved cooking and my brother and everything. I think Italy has forgotten about me at times. Grandpa become famous for ....well basically everything. He's Grandpa...he is a very godly man. Feli is starting to take on this roots as a Vargas. I felt like I was being left behind and I wasn't going to become anyone. I told Feliciano that I was going to leave the country to find myself.
After some major research, I found out that a man from Sicily became a huge time restaurant owner and one of the iron chefs of America. His name is Mario Batali. Next to Grandpa, he is my hero. If a man from there can make it big, then that means with enough passion and skill, I can become a professional chef. Though I have the blood of Romulus Vargas running in my veins, my skills are still premature. I applied to go to the Culinary School of New York and I was determined to pay for the tuition on my own, I'm not going to let my inheritance pay for everything. I have taken some of the money Grandpa left for us in order to pay for my ticket to New York City, my apartment, and whatever was leftover was used to pay for part of the tuition.
In order to pay for the rest of my tuition, I have been offered to work at the restaurant Esca. It seems to be a southern Italian restaurant, so at least I feel like I am in a familiar environment. This is a high class place owned by Batali himself! How the heck did I get a job here?! Sometimes, I feel like Grandpa is not really gone...I wonder if Feli has that same feeling.
I live at Building 4, I don't have too much money to spend on a frivolous new apartment building. I love the rose gardens at Building 4. There are so many people living here!
I digress, I'm happy to be here and I'm excited for this change in my life. I hope that my dream of being a professional chef will come true, but I also desire to meet new people and actually have some friends. This is the beginning of the new Lovino Deangelo Vargas!
