Haha, yeah I've seen Inception. I liked it, but not as much as I thought I would. And for some odd reason I like it less and less the more I think about it.

I think the problem I have with it is that all these really annoying (and kind of ignorant...) people are saying how absolutely fantastic it is, and the truth is there's room for improvement, you know?
So every time someone tells me how absolutely perfect they thought it was, it just emphasizes the imperfections in my mind. For example, it was a bit slow at the beginning. That's not a major fault, but it's something that could have been worked on if you're going for the 'Masterpiece' that people were/are calling it.

The truth is, though, that I don't remember a lot of it and I'm talking out of my arse.

I understand how you feel about pretentious people talking about it as if it's awesome. That's how I feel about The Dark Knight. I think it's a great film, but Gotham City looked like crap and any other City. Nothing spectacular. I didn't want what they had in the 90's with the other Batman movies, but something that made it stand out like New York. You know it's NYC because of the look, but where's Gotham City's look?

And people going Gaa-gaa over the Joker and I really believe they only think he's awesome due to him dying. As in Heath Ledger had always been a great actor from the moment he step on the screen in 10 Things I hate about You to that moment. There was not a single movie I saw with him in it that he was ever disappointing. It annoys me when people act like he all the sudden became great. NO...he was always great.

I swear I was the only one that stood up for him when he was chosen to be The Joker. So many of the same people that mocked the choice turned around and praised him when he died. A little too late.

So I understand what you're talking about.

I do think that if you give it time and you see it again you might see it in a different light. As in a better light. Not a perfect light.
