Hi..! I saw your post on Artist-Confessions. I just wanted to say, that just because you like to draw animals (whatever the style), doesn't necessarily make you a "furry". So if you're not comfortable being called one, you don't have to be one.

Thank you for the comment! To be honest another reason I thought I should be a furry is that I draw myself as a anthro cat, but that's as far as I go as far as to what "most" furries do.

I've thought about changing my cat character to a human, but really I don't want to. I love her too much and I put a lot of thought into her. I've been feeling conflicted about it for quiet a while so I don't know what to do.

If it really isn't in her to be a human character, then I'd hate for you to feel that she should be one. Maybe one day as you grow and change as a person, you might feel that your character needs a change as well, but for now she's just fine as a cat!
If it still makes you uncomfortable, could she be both? I'm sure you've seen "kemonomimi"- humans with animal traits? I'm not a furry but I LOVE drawing humans with animal ears, tails, etc. :3

Yeah, I mostly wanted to make her human since I don't want people to assume I'm one of those people that think they're an "animal trapped in a human body", which I am not. I draw myself as a cat because people have always told me I have "cat eyes". I also wear glasses, so I threw in irony by basically making her glasses her "eyes".

I wish I didn't have to worry about people thinking negatively of me all the time, but oh well.
