Being a Phi Mu yourself, I thought I would share some creative writing about a Phi Mu with you. I hope you are ammused. I hope you don't hate me- you never call... leaving me to wallow in dA in my loneliness. I t would be nice to visit with someone I could actualy reach out and touch (in a polite manner mind you)

Here's my kinda Phi Mu story (that I wrote for a Traverse City dA):Thanks Lori my new friend. I used to travel to Traverse City in the late 80s to visit my friend Molly Malloy (she was 18 and legal) when she was first chair Viola on scholarship (spell) up there. At 4 ft 11inches and 90 pounds the freckled sprite with a shaved orange head (+bangs) loomed as large as any of them up there. I loved her more than I have ever loved anyone (including the woman I married) Her best friend that year was Jenny Lynch and those kids were the first I ever met that spoke not of the band XTC but the new miracle synthetic Ecstasy that was the new psychedelic that year and was still all the rage (or should I say Rave, another new phenomena). I missed the graduation as tickets were in great demand as her friend’s dad David and his wife Isabella Rosalina were going to be in attendance. She got a scholarship to the Ringling-Bros. benefactor New College in Sarasota Fla. along with a job with the west coast Symphony Orchestra. I foolishly (if not for my beautiful daughter) married a visual artist who had convinced me that at age 27 I was too old for Molly, but Molly came back and loved and consoled me a couple years later when I was in the process of moving my recording studio to Ann Arbor and my marriage was already on the rocks despite the fact that up to that point I had been 100% faithful (in sexual deed anyway). I remember that night all too well. I was back in Toledo for the night and had just gotten in a huge fight with the wife for driving another young beauty (who had given me her spare ticket if I would drive her) to the New Order, PIL, and Sugercubes concert at Pine Knob. When we arrived to find the concert had been cancelled, I did the honorable thing and took her straight home like a good boy without so much as kissing my new friend. After getting home and being literally attacked in anger by Lorraine, my wife, I opted to go to my friend Robs trendy New Wave club Frankie's, I was sitting at the bar, drinking bourbon (I had broken my sobriety for the first time a few months earlier) when my concert companion arrived on her own and was contemplating breaking my wedding vows and seeing if she wouldn't take me home with her when I looked up and was totally shocked by what appeared coming through the front door. It was Molly, dressed in a beautiful light blue formal gown with flowers in her hair. Her mother had gotten a divorce from the creepy Coast Guard recruiter she had had married 20 years earlier and had married a fellow teacher and Molly had returned from Florida for the wedding. We immediately left the bar and went to Molly’s mom's new house. We never even made it in to the house before we were naked and fucking each other’s brains out vigorously in the grass and the dirt next to the garage and her mothers new rose garden. We later went in the house and continued our foray until early in the morning when with tail tucked between my legs I returned home and slept on the floor of the control room I was still not moved out of because of fear of my wife. Molly returned for a couple weeks around Christmas that year and spent a few nights including the Access Christmas Party with me in Ann Arbor. Then she left and returned to Sarasota leaving me to deal with the guilt. My drinking had become a problem once again and Access bought me out and Lorraine divorced me as I began to go home with anyone that would have me. Molly and I had lost touch with one another, and I spent the next five years with the 17-year-old daughter of a mortgage banker I had also met at Frankie's. I accompanied her to Cincinnati where she attended the Art Academy until she decided that she wanted to no longer be an artist but wanted to return to Toledo and make money in the mortgage business and was dropped like a hot potato when Ali turned 21 and I was still reticent to get married. I returned to college where I studied first to be a teacher then a journalist. Ali was engaged and married to the golden boy from Ottawa Hill's (Toledo's richest suburbs within months). Aside from a years tryst with the daughter of a French Baron's daughter who was an exchange student polishing up her English and the adult photography teacher 10 years my senior (the mother of the girl in the image Jen @15 in my gallery). But for the most part I remained alone for what at the time felt like forever. Then one night in early Spring 1995 I got brave and asked a fellow photojournalism student who was about to graduate, and with who I would move to Columbus for a year to see Richard Butler of the Psych Furs ("Love my Way") perform at Rob's newer and bigger club, The Main Event, down the street from Frankie’s in Toledo with his new band (though performing tunes in major keys now instead of his infamous minors) 'Love, Spit, Love" As we walked out of the club I was grabbed by a much intoxicated Molly who it appeared wanted to do me on the spot again, much to the chagrin of Lorean (not Lorraine- Lorean), who presented an obstacle to her, well our desires. She gave me her number, and we parted. I stopped on the way home and got a bottle of wine and some beer and a room at the Motel 6, as I was once again back living with my mother, and hadn't drank a drop till this evening for about 3 or so years again. Lorean was drunk and weirded out and sat at the table in the room consuming the beer and wine rapidly, blubbering about something (my first true look at the cum laude graduate to be) and I just crashed. I awoke in the morning to find Lorean curled up by my side and almost appearing to be sucking her thumb. She had some home mysteriously transformed from an evil old witch looking thing that had been drinking herself into oblivion as I decided to sleep into a beautiful child-like looking princess. We arose and went to the car without saying much to each other (or any sexual interaction) and I took her back to the Phi Mu house where she was living (yes! never say never, strange things happen) when I dropped her off she skipped gleefully around to my side of the car and kissed me sweetly good-bye. I was hooked, not knowing what pain she would rain on my heart for the next year. I called Molly several times but one day she informed me that she was trying to keep the relationship with the young band teacher she was living with at the time together and she thought it would be better if I didn't call any more as it really bothered him when I did. I obliged and it was off to Columbus with Miss Lorean Prebe, the pride of Steubenville, Ohio, nearly West-by-God Virginia.
