I tried listening to it, just to try something new after years of rap music xD but still, after that thing with my dad I rarely listened to music last year and this year, after a while I just couldn't find any joy in listening to music and it even got irritating

I think it's normal to get sick of music after a while it happened to me? For a while I couldn't listen to music and it made me sick but now I'm learning new songs again and around this time I'm not only solely sticking to rap so I can switch it up when one gets old

Yeah that was the case with me, I just couldn't stand rap music after a while because after so many years most of it just sounded like the same old thing :s honestly, right now, there aren't many rappers I can actually tolerate anymore... i only listen to a few c:c
right now, I don't even care anymore what kind of genre it is , whether it's pop or not, and all that shiz as long as i like it xD i'm listening to the weirdest stuff my past self would never listen to or would've never thought of listening to xD

Uhm most of us are taught english by watching american movies (our movies aren't dubbed but subbed) but at school most of the teachers prefer using a british accent xD so i dunno it's like a mix for some xD I usually stick to the american accent xD
