Hilsen Toril

Heisann herr Reppen- Gjelseth.

Jeez Louise!
Haven't written anything in'ere since last november! Time passes. Like the old textadventures on my PC used to say. "You wait. Time passes." Damn good logic.
To do. Aye - there's the rub.

If I had the power, I'd probably wanna slow Time down every now and again. I mean, sometimes I really need the days to last longer, particularly the evenings. Then I could do everything I don't get the time to do now, like drawing and writing my projects. For example - one day could be like 48 hours long, and then the night could be like 24 hours, so that I can really get rested before getting up to get the kids ready for kindergarden and myself for work.
Then again. Some days I'd just fast forward.
Too bad I can't find the remote. When I do I'll kick the crap out of whoever is messing with it now.

My cartoon "Eternity etc." is in the making, now I'm working on text and colouring of the strips. Some of the completed ones are now on display in my Deviant Gallery. Please give me some feedback - good AND bad. If its really bad, try and break it to me nicely. Please.
Haha.

Ok - I have a new years resolution. What? Am I early? Nah, I don't think so. Around here the shops have been decorated for christmas a long time already. So a new years resolution in november can't be that bad.
I'm going to put more effort into my projects - with a goal in mind to complete a novel, a short story collection AND a cartoon project by the end of 2006. You may think I'm nuts, trying for this on top of a fulltime teaching job and two kids under the age of five. Well. So do I. But I can't help trying.
So - good luck to me.
Amen.

Well. Today it seems I can't SEE any deviations, so naturally I'm sort of cut off from commenting them as well. Shame really, since the alternative fun thing to do - killing virtual terrorists on my recently downloaded (I'm lying - I downloaded it like a year ago) demo of SWAT 4 - is on the other computer currently occupied by my wife.
The world is cruel. Or - I'm a spoiled brat. Which ever comes first.

It's sunny outside today. Sunny and snowy, mind - but that's actually ok. Makes me think of old crooners christmas song - by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne in '45. Some of you may know it from the Bruce Willis blockbuster "Die Hard".
Oh, the weather outside is frightful
but the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Only problem is - the weather outside is delightful, and the fire is out. But hey, who's counting pebbles? Bring on the winter!

There's a swedish rapper whose stolen my heart these days, he calls himself "Timbuktu", and his album is called "Alla vill til himlen, men ingen vill dö", loosely translated to: Everyone wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die"
I think it reflects the spirit of the times in a great way - we all want - but none of us - or very few - are willing to give in return.
Timbuktu also has a track which goes: " Det ordnar seg - det gjör det alltid, - ja, det löser seg, så brukar allt bli - det komme fiksa seg till slut, som allt annat - "
It'll work out, it always does. It'll be allright, it usually does - in the end everything'll be fine, as usual. Thats what it means. And that's usually what we think, too. And sometimes it's true.
And other times -
- it's not.

Devil and the deep blue sea behind me
Wanish in the air - you'll never find me
I will turn your face to alabaster
when you find your servant is your master
oh, and you'll be - wrapped around my finger.
The Police.

I just have to say - This place RULES!
Just got a hot topic from Heidi about Deviantarts Holiday Card Project. What a great idea this is! I hope everyone takes time to make/write a card for this!
I gotta say, I think I fell in love with this place both on great design on the web and in the submissions. You guys rock!
Humble thanks and massive applause to the brains and artists that make this place come alive.

Also - life should have background music.
Like right now, my background music would be Coldplays Beautiful world:
" Bones are sinking like stones
All that we fall for
Homes places we've grown
All of us are done for
And we live in a beautiful world (yeah we do yeah we do)
We live in a beautiful world"
Thinking about it, it's not such a bad idea, though. If mugging victims heard creepy scary music as they were nearing a dark alley, then maybe they would choose a different direction. If you cross the street, and hear a lot of brass instruments and drums and crazy violins, then you'd better toss yourself into safety or you'll be flattened by an oncoming truck for sure. Nice survival tool, background music is. Doesn't seem to work to well for people in movies though.
Funny thing.

Rain isn't all it's cracked up to be.
I mean, a slight drizzle is hardly enough to make you depressed. And a full on rainstorm is not fit to sing in when you're in love. You need to have rain adapted to your mood. Everyone shold have their own private cloud, popping in and out of existence over ones head, adapting the rain to suit the mood.
Like today, my mood should do nicely with a light overcast - but it's pouring out. How about that.
