# About me
Hmm... a little bit complicated: I'm French, live in Germany and my wife is Japanese :-)I'm addicted to Japan and try to travel there twice a year.
Since my current job (technical translator) is getting boring, I deciced to try something else.
I founded a few month ago my own travel agency. My goal is to help travellers discover the true Japan, off the beaten track.
Ever since I went for the first time to Japan (20 years ago), I took pictures. I don't know many things about photographic technics, I'm just shooting the scenes I like ;-)

No problem! Did you visit Finland and Baltic countries?

Yes, I was 10 days with my wife in Finland (and 1 day in Tallinn in Estonia). We visited friends near Helsinki and stayed then 5 days at their summer cottage in the wild near a lake. It was a really nice experience, living for a few days without electricity and tap water

It sounds great! As my dayly life and business, I hardly imagine the life without modern technologies such as electricity. I have no confidence to tolerate no electricity and medias. My or most Japanese people's lifestyles might be extremely special.

For me too, without electricity/Internet is no work possible.
But for a few days, it was very relaxing to be cut off the civilization.
We made wood fire to warm us up (it was only 10-11Β°C outside...) and cooked on a gas stove.
If you're interested, I began yesterday to publish a diary about this trip on my website

You're welcome! You have really beautiful pictures of Japan. Are you living in Yamagata?

I love the Tohoku region. 10 years ago I spent 5 months in Sendai, studying japanese.
It was great there!
During my time in Sendai, I travelled a lot around and had once a great journey in the other Tohoku prefectures.
My recommandation: if you haven't been there yet, go to "Osorezan" in the Shimokita peninsula

Osorezan is now officially on my list
Thanks for the recommendation.
It is great here! I was sold from the first imoni-kai
Haven't traveled as much as I wanted to
but hopefully the winter break should be fun.
