hello, how you like to hear a few family ghost storys?

Mametz wood, 1918. My grandfather was part of the German Army in the woods that he was stationed against the newly trained Welsh division that would be stationed to take the woods from them, the woods after this battle would be nicknamed Devil's wood, 4000 Wells troops when in against 450 well-armed German troops sadly the Welsh troops were non skilled and poorly trained and we're quickly cut down by the German forces meanwhile the German forces with sustained 200 dead with the remaining 200 Welsh retreating sadly that day would leave a mark on those woods that still haunt to this day. My grandfather claimed to have seen men still walking around that were long since dead when the battle was over and the fog was covered in thickness of mist. The atmosphere what's thick and even to this day it is still As thick as deep dread creeps over the body how to lose that dwell and they can feel the pain as well as catch glimpses of soldiers long dead and past wandering the woods but my grandfather also when he went back there 50 years later in 1968 he would see a familiar face and the face was his brother who had died in 1916 in the same place how about his arm to my grandfather as my grandfather took what he dropped out of his hand into his and it was a locket how's his wife that he held dear and I wispered: I am too to her now, the rest are still here, he then walked away from my grandfather and disappeared behind a tree as well as Shady figures that's still loomed disappearing behind the trees as my grandfather walked out of the woods filling him with dread, when he had arrived to the Village outside the entire Village told him they heard faint Echoes of War deep in the woods where he went, they were also dumbfounded by the locket he received that was in pristine condition for a copper and brass Β locket left lost in the trenches.
this is the lighter encounter, not as dramatic.
