You need to see tutorials, and them apply them.
That are you doing is paint like anime, selecting each part. If you want a good style for your arts you need paint wiht brushes, like photoshop or paint. Mix colors, a tablet is important too. I used mouse for long time, but its diferent. There are a good range of tutorials for nascent, I´m in a procest to, I don´t draw and coloring same like two years ago. Them you must to practice, if your style is manga, practice it. Here( Costa Rica) I have friends that draw exelent and this is help for myself.
