Luciano should have looked both ways before hopping out of the door of a building like that, because he found himself floored as soon as he stepped out. Maybe it was because he usually did not find himself dazed often, so as to stay out of danger. He looked up, ready to put on a defensive stance, but found himself instead looking into the eyes of an angel. She looked American, fair skin but not quite almond enough to be Nordic, plus her accent lacked the English charm, had more of an American twang. Her pronuciation was horrendous... She was so cute.
"Oh," the Italian made a little noise when he was dragged to his feet so easily. He knew he was thin but damn. "Ahem, it's okay," he smiled charmingly. "I should have looked where I was going."
His English was well practiced and laced in a thick accent. He held Lexi's hand, bent down and kissed it.
"Are you hurt?" He glanced up at her with pretty magenta eyes.

Lexi gave a little squeak when the man kissed her hand. She took a deep breath, "I'm fine~" she pushed one brown strand of hair behind her ear. She then glanced down at her phone, her eyes widening, "Well nice talking to ya but I can't be late for class-!" She ran off.

Luciano stared as the girl took off. Class huh... She looked too old to be a high schooler, otherwise she just seemed to mature well for her age... It made more sense she would be in college.
He did not even get her name, but that was okay. It would be easy to track down someone so pretty... Not to mention, she did not seem to recognize him, she did not know who he was. She must be an exchange student?
All these analyses ran through Luciano's head as the girl took off. He was pretty good at figuring people out. He supposed he could bump into her again, it would be worth it.

Lexi just barely made it to the campus, and to her class. She would definitely have to text her BFF about this, who was also in class to get her Master's degree in nursing. Who was the BFF? Why, Kristy, of course. She always made sure Lexi made it to class on time- usually forcing the girl to go with her to campus early, but Lexi somehow convinced Kristy she could make it on her own and look what happened. Though, she'll need to tell her about the man she ran into.
Too bad she didn't know she was now on Luciano's radar...

Lexi didn't text Kristy, and figured it would be better to tell her in person. That evening at the apartment, Lexi told her friend all about he encounter.
"Okay one, I can't believe you were almost late," Kristy huffed. "And two, I can't believe you saw a cute dude and didn't really talk to him! You could be late for that!!!"

The two ate dinner and went to bed. Meanwhile somewhere in Italy, Luciano was scanning his computer in a dark room. He could recognize that girl's face anywhere...
Alexis Rayne, exchange student from America, went to the university here and lived in an apartment not far from the campus. He hummed to himself in content. She was 20 years old, single, and a computer science major. Now she could really be quite a catch if he could just happen to run into her again... That would not be too hard. He knew where all the college students liked to hang out, he would just see if he could bump into her there... Perhaps tomorrow?

Kristy got Lexi up bright and early against the brunette's will and the two went and got coffee. No sign of Luciano.
There were so many ways the Italian could stalk someone. Track all their bank records, kidnap then in their sleep, hire someone to take them, but he was going to be trying to actually woo this girl for once. Not a fuck and kill... And no drinking her blood like a fucking vampire....
He had a hold of her class schedule, that was his best start. There was a little sandwich shop near her noon class... He wondered if she might stop somewhere like there.
So there he was, Luciano Vargas, sitting outside of a college cafe with a book and a coffee, one ankle draped over his other knee as he bobbed his foot up and down. He was people watching. He wanted to see if she walked by, and then maybe he could engage stalker mode, or if she happened to stumble into this cafe. He hoped he was as good at reading people as he thought.

Lexi checked the time on her phone, wondering if she could grab a little coffee before her next class. That was a side effect of her major- she was always tired. She had a little bit of time to grab some coffee but would need to book it to her next class. 
Walking into the cafe, Lexi went over to the counter and ordered herself a caramel macchiato with extra espresso. While the barista made it, she seemed to feel a pair of eyes burning into her back. She didn't want to turn around, just stayed put until she got her coffee and quickly walked out.

Luciano saw Lexi walk in and his heart skipped. Man he was good at reading people after all... He glanced up when the door rang and he knew it was her coming out. He was acting like he was just glancing up at the stimulus of a sound, like a normal person, then he eyes widened in feigned pleasant surprise.
"Ah, it's you!" He sounded kind of happy as he set down his book, getting Lexi's attention.

Luciano did, of course, keep an eye on Lexi through the day in total secrecy of course to get more of an idea of her character. He reaffirmed that she was, in fact, adorable.
Eventually, the Italian had to go home. He had some papers to look at. He lived in a little apartment above the tailor shop, and yes, he lived with his brother; but they are both the masterminds of the mafia after all. He just hoped Flavio wouldn't pick up on his new crush.
