My Story
I'm a Shadow Hunter, I use my weapons to protect the ponies of Equestria from the pitch black creatures known only as Shadow Beast. I became a Shadow Hunter after a second attack on my home village. I now seek the source of this unknown evil. I now do a lot of traveling.

-provides her his blade which is made from some metal not seen in Equestria. The blade is in decent condition though looks like it has seen countless battles often against armored foes.- "That swords my best bud we been through thick and thin togeather, treat her right.

This is not a normal blade. What you do fight some Diamond Dogs with it? It is in good condition though. -Looks it over more.- She'll need a bit more then just a sharpening, I can see a few cracks in the hilt. It'll take me a full day to sharpen and repair the hilt for you and it'll be about... -adds it all up in my head- 100 bits, 25 for the sharpening and 75 for the hilt. And don't worry she'll be treated with the up-most care.

The Stallion looks at her and from his robes he pulls out a solid lump of gold and places it upon a table. "I believe that should cover it all. Sorry but i don't carry many bits on me gold is universal. I thank you I'm sure baneblood would love a new hilt. But the hilt must also be caste in gold and copper kept semi hollow." He tools at her intently as if this is not done perfectly with his hilt he will be very upset.

-Takes the lump of gold and places on one side of a scale and a weight on the other side till it balances.- "This... this is ten pounds!" -Calculates this in her head.- "This chunk of gold is 500 bits?! He's going to pay me 500 bits to" -Picks the gold up looking at it closely.- "Holy Celestia and Luna it's mixed! Gold and Platinum no wonder it's so heavy! Wait then that means five pounds of gold and five pounds of platinum making this chunk equal... okay let's see one pound of plat is 500 bits while one pound of gold is 50 bits that be, 500 x 5 = 2500 + 50 x 5 = 250 which sums up to... 2750 bits!!! Okay, okay calm down, remember what your teacher taught you. The weapon tells all if you look hard enough. Okay first he said it needs to be sharpen, means this is a warriors blade, the hilt was cracked so that means it's owner is a heavy hitter, also he wants the hilt cast in gold and silver kept semi hollow which means he uses electricity making the owner a pegasus... what did he say it was named... Baneblood?" Looks to the sword more trying to find the makes mark. "Please don't be... a... number... Oh boy, I'm in the presence of a Hades Blade." Come inside I'd like to speak more about your blade before I work.

BaneBlood is the third incarnation of the red reapers Scythe. It is a key to the ethereal plane of existence and dealing with inhabitants." He stretches his wings listening to her a bit. "It is a pleasure to meet you lady Cerberus, But i prefer to be known as the Grim Reaper or simply Red will do." He moves closer, "Good she is my partner and i will answer any questions you have as long as they do not annoy me."

-Moves over to my magic forge to begin working on the famous blade- I see, Red and you are a Knight of Hades. My first question for you is, what do you know of Shadows? -goes over to the mystic runed wetstone and slowly and carefully start sharpening the blade- I've been hunting them for a long time. I'm hoping you could tell me something about them.

-He begins to think hard.- If i think your talking about what i think you are, they are escaped ethereal entities. Most harbor a darkness inside them so they cling to the shadows. -He watches her go to work.- I am far more versed in taking living foes lives. But from what i know about shadows there less harmful inΒ darkness and actually become more dangerous the more light surrounds them.

-Checks the blade before continuing- The Shadows I speak of are pitch black beast with red fanges, claws or more. -Stops for a bit- They attacked my home a long time ago. Pitch black wolves just as I discribed were already attacking when I came home from working with my teacher. They weren't normal wolves, not even Timber Wolves. Only thing effective against them were fire, sound, and vibration. We lost our original home against them but... everyone is safe... but I hunt them to make sure NO ONE has to suffer like some did. -returns tot he sharpening- As for the sun, they avoid it actually. But who knows, maybe we are speaking of the same enemy maybe not. Now for my next question -gently place the blade down to start working on the new hilt- any enchantments on your old hilt I should know about and... can I call on your aid in the future? I am often hired to hunt these Shadow Beasts in areas I know little about or given little information of. -turns to you smiling- I would very much like your assitance in fighting these Shadow Beasts, atleast information wise.

I see. I can do this for you. -moves over to the normal forge to begin working on a new hilt- As for Princess Luna... even she is confused by these creatures. They are not from her domain and it does worry her often. -starts heating up the forge- I'll always send my messages to those I need help from by dragon fire with my cutie mark seal along side a small sack of specially marked gold bits. -shows you a bit marked with the Equestrian symble on it- Stand back please. -Gently takes the newly made gold and copper ingot and begin working at them keeping them hot from time to time- She is an amzing blade.

I do not take bits, I take solid gold unforged. Also copper, silver or other precious metals. Nothing that has been coined. -He moves around to examine the new hilt.- This blade has cut straight through elder dragon hide before she is the best partner a warrior could ask for. Light durable and fierce just like a good mare. -He speaks almost lovingly of his blade as if he truly loved it.- But i can look into it further the dead often provide good answers. Just send raw gold and i'll see what i can do.

I can do that. -Looks the the blade.- My teacher told me of the blades, of their birth story. I hope you don't mind me retelling it. -gets back to work- According to my teacher, The Masters, those of the mystic and physical arts, were called upon by Hades to craft four blades. They requested a set of items in exchange for the blades. The first was Hades' crown, the second was Hades' own blood, the third was a pale apple picked by Hades' own hand, the last was the corpse of Hades' own foal. Hades refused this last term but returned again two more times till Hades returned one last time, with death in his grips. -takes and plunges the hilt in water causing heavy steam to form and waits till it leaves to return to work again- He looked to The Masters in anger and said, "Death has made a crime of me, grind his bones to dust and burn his soul to ash, here is your fourth request."Β -uses my magic to take a drill and slowly begins to drill out a cavity into the newly made hilt- The Masters agreed to this exchanged and forved upon Hades a set of weapons each with a name and a number. Pleased with this work Hades left but The Masters gave a warning before he left. "Beware, beware Hades and hear our speech. Dare not name the blade nor force their owner ship for each is named by owners hooves. Dare not find them either for all four but be earned."Β Hades was enraged by this but agreed and tossed the blades to the four winds. -looks to him and smiles- I'm not to sure if the story is fully true but seeing and repairing her is proof enough for me. There's more to this tale but... it'll keep to another time. She's almost ready.

-Red listens to the tale.- That was a lovely story, Though my time with baneblood has proved to be a most lucrative and a very loving partnership relaying on each other completly. I am interested to learn more of this Hades you speak of. -Begins rebuilding the sword carefully before stopping to look to him- Come by any time I'm here and I'll tell you more of my teacher's tales of the blades as for Thrace... -thinks hard- Β Unfortunately no but I will keep the name in mind. -Returns to my work before gently bringing the blade up to reflect the light from my two forges- She's done. -I gently return her to you- Take it easy with her though, she not meat for powerful blows, it's why her hilt was cracked. -smiles to him-

-He places the blade into his sheath.- My baby can take a pounding and she is meant less about physicalΒ strength but high velocity combat. We often hit targets at mach 2 or faster with some of our strikes. Baneblood loves red misting opponets. -He bows to the mare.- I'll make sure to stop by again when Baneblood is in need of another tune up she greatly enjoyed your work. For now i should be off. -He turns to leave.-
