Still very much an amateur but thank you all the same
I use a Nikon D3000 which I've had for about 2 years now
Just had a quick browse at your gallery - that paper dress is amazing! How long did it take overall?

If your a amateur, I have got no chance! You are really good. Do you want to be a photographer? Ah cool, it must have been quite expensive camera, when you got it as it is still quite pricey now. lol
Well the weave took about 7 hours and each strip of feathers took about 2 hours each and have done probably about 25 strips so far. The dress isn't finished as I still need to do the feathers for the back, which I need another about 25 strips of feather to Finnish it. So far I have probably spent at least 57 hours on the dress but when it is finished it would be about 107 hours.

Hehe, thank you! :3
Being a photographer would be pretty cool but I've been brought up to believe it's not a very practical dream so I don't really know. Maybe one day
Wow! It's definitely worth the time though, it's looks really intricate and beautiful! Are you making it for a qualification or just for fun?

Well if it is your dream to be a photographer, go for it, it is your life not your parents. (Any way you are aloud to have unpractical dreams that's why they are called dreams ) You would be a good photographer and people are always looking for good photographer's for weddings, birthdays etc ask around and do some work for free, to get some experiences, to get your name out there and start to get a portfolio together. You may have to have another job along side being a photographer but there is no reason you couldn't be.
Thanks to be fair at the moment all I want to do is shut it away or burn it, because it was such a pain to make and there is still a lot to do but one day I will finish it and grow to love it once again.
It was a college project to make some sort of clothing, entirely out of paper, nothing but paper, meaning no glue, no tape, no staples and no pins to even hold it onto the manikin. Which made a good challenge but I do like a challenge. hehe

True! That is some sound advice. I'll have a think about it - not sure I'd be a good Wedding Photographer but who knows? Thank you for the advice/guidance
Wow that sounds ridiculously hard! I definitely wouldn't be any good at that, haha!
Looks like you did a really good job so far, I really hope you finish it

You never know until you try, you might love doing wedding photography. The reason I suggested weddings is because you are good at photographing people and people can be difficult to photograph because they tend to move. Your very welcome.
It was hard, the main challenge was trying to find ways to join things together and strengthen the paper. Once you have worked that out you are well on your way it just very time consuming. Thanks, I hope so too. I might pick it up again over Christmas.
