I'm sure you just need to practise a bit more. Well let's see..don't use too much highlights, and make sure to get some flow in the mane by making the ends bend - they don't all flow in the same direction, and yeah..remember to take breaks while you're painting the mane, it's so easy to get stuck on small parts that doesn't really have to be a problem. I'll probably update the tutorial as soon as I get the time. Anyhow, best wishes with your graphic making!
