my pc cannot run modern games, it's only for retro stuff. i prefer to play games on consoles.
i enjoy all sorts of games as long as they're good. survival horror (resident evil, silent hill), hack 'n slash (ninja gaiden, onimusha), platformers (castlevania, megaman), turn-based strategy (heroes of might and magic, jagged alliance)... last year's favorite was dark souls.

ever play any fast-paced tactics games?
aside from tactics i tend to lean towards RPG's (skyrim, mass effect, fallout, vampire: the masquerade), first-persons (not as recent; TF2, MW(CoD), halo), and strategies (warcraft 3, starcraft, AoS)

skyrim is good and i like fallout too, especially fallout 2. never was a fan of fps though doom still owns (the third one was shit). and pokΓ©mon rules when it comes to rpg's. i like my tactics games turn-based.
