Gift Piece: InterventionThe young echidna was running for dear life on her stubby little legs. Behind her were the pounding of heavier feet than hers and the sounds of laughter. They were toying with her, dragging out the chase in a sadistic game.
The echidna scrambled over the chain link fence she suddenly found herself facing. She landed in a sprawl on the other side facing a vacant lot, quickly she got to her feet and ran. They were hollering as they scrambled over the fence after her.

The echidna ran before she stumbled over her own feet, as she got to her feet she found herself surrounded by them.
They were a streetgang, that much was certain, all wore the gang βuniformβ red muscle shirts and black cargo pants. They were a tough lot, coyotes, mean looking cats, an alligator, and a few tough dogs.
They cackled to one another as they jostled her between them.

No sooner had Emily received restoration funding, she began work on her Missile Silo Restoration Project. Work started with the surface buildings. Not all parts of the base were underground. There were several above ground structures as well. Emily started with these as they were the easiest. Emily got her friends in the Anthro Gang to help with clean-up and restoration work, whilst Harold supervised the project on behalf of Historic Structures of Jarvis Town (Or, HSJT for short).
"What was this building once used for?" Melissa asked, looking at the faded name on the wall whilst helping remove a broken rain gutter.
"This was the main office." Harold explained. "It was the main surface building in the command chain link."
"I think it will make a good above ground entertainment room!" Emily said exc

We now go into the underground portion of the Missile Silo.
Montserratian Missile Silos weren't connected to the national power grid. Instead, they had their own underground Power Stations which supplied electrical power, heating, air conditioning, water treatment, and ventilation to the entire base. Early sites like the "Brown Cheese" and Grey Cloud" bases had large concrete rooms deep inside the underground base to house the Generators and HVAC/Heating/Water Treatment/Ventilation equipment. From the "Red Grass" upwards, the bases housed their underground power stations in a massive underground concrete dome. The Generators were provided to these bases by Ince-Darlington, a sub-division of Artemis Power Unlimited, Montserrat's power utility. The Generators and every other sensitive piece of equipment were placed on shock
