Awesome!  Not sure what I'm bringing yet, need to fit in costumes and off to Orlando for a week afterwards so my luggage space is looking a little tight :/  Thinking a couple of X-Men and a DA costume atm!

OMG! That would be amazing!!   I'm at a smaller gathering at London Expo at the end of next month (hopefully I can get this done in time)  and then Dragon*Con in August!! Really excited!

That is exciting! I will be at Armageddon in Wellington at the beginning of June, but over here we're quite limited unless we want to spend heaps on travel - Australia has a few but it's still really expensive to get there.

In the UK there are quite a lot of cons which is good, but they're nothing in comparison to D*C!! D*C is expensive especially flights, but I loved it so much last year and now I'm going back this year.  Have cut down on UK cons to afford it.  This year I'm going with about 12 people and we've extended our stay for a second week in Orlando which makes the trip more worthwhile.

I'm curious - how do you cope with your costumes when travelling internationally?  Like, the Grey Warden weighs 10kg and normally lives in one of those large plastic bins - I've no idea how I'd transport it in luggage!

Wow!  Think that's why I've gone for Grey Warden Mage, No armour, the staff I'm going to make from PVC pipe with connectors so it can be dismantled.  For the Scales, I'm making them from silver pleather otherwise I'd probably use my whole weight allowance on the tabbard if I used real scailes lol

Hehe, I didn't even think about the no-armour version of the Grey Warden.  The first I noticed the uniform was after I played Legacy, and in that your mage gets the same version the rogue gets.

I dunno if the armour would be heavier or the scales - probably the scales for mine because I made them from steel.  If they were aluminium it'd be way lighter.  And pleather is probably going to be pretty light too.  Nice one!

I've just received scales for when I start on Leliana, I went for aluminium as I really don't think I could wear it if it was steel!  Think my back would break lol!

Didn't get to finish my warden in time for the con last week Have exams at the moment so putting them first!  Shame but oh well!  Just got to make it for the end of August instead now

I think Leliana would keep her scales nice and shiny anyway, she strikes me as that kind of lady. 

August is pretty close - I am very much looking forward to seeing your finished costume.  I have this dream of gathering all the Wardens together at a con so we can run around hunting monsters.  So far for Auckland Armageddon I have.. two.  O.o

Yeah I can't wait for D*C, there's a whole group of Wardens there, there's a facebook group I'll send you a link to, it's all about Warden cosplay

Can't wait to get started on Leliana, gonna take me a long time though, I wanna do it properly :/ Eeeeek!

I would love to have that link!  And yeah, doing costumes can feel like they take forever, eh?  The one I'm doing at the moment has a deadline, it's the first time I've tried that, be interesting to see how that works out.

yeah but it's expensive to go often to London because of the flight and hotel
so I hope I can come to larger Cons to London in the future
do you know when the Film&Comic Con is.hopefully not on the same date as an other convention in Germany >_<
