Thank you Maxine. I say that a lot, but I mean it more whole hearted this time. I feel as though I should shine a bit of light on you in return, not as thanks though, but as a friend.
Maxine, from the first day I've known you you've been nothing but a trip. An interesting personality mixing with an equally interesting personality. Creating a strange mixed beverage that is actually quite delightful to sip on. I've never seen you as anything other than a wonderful person and a girl with a lot of moxy and, this is an odd word but, spunk. You know what you're doing, you're proud of what you're doing, and who you are. And you especially love those who are near to you. Making strong friendships and lasting bonds with people all the while being the perfect kind of playful.
You're a wonderful person, and a great friend. But hold on, this text wall isn't done.
Again, since day 1, I've admired your extreme talent for art. Both digital and traditional. The images you see in your mind are so skilfully sculpted onto the pages and into 1s and 0s its incredible. Especially having been given the absolute treat of seeing you and I grow and mature and seeing our artistic skills do the same. Seeing jagged lines smooth with time and smooth lines becoming jagged, it's a once in a life time experience. And I'm glad I got to see it, and continue to share it with you. You have talent, Maxine. You have an incredible gift for art. Never left any one tell you otherwise. Girl, you gonna go places. You gonna be big one day.
Never stop reaching as high as you can. One day you'll touch the ceiling. Another you'll be holding it up. Keep dreaming. Keep drawing.
