I can understand your englisch very well, it's no problem.
The difference between real art and a technical very good work is the idea in the mind of the artist. Your queen of snails is stunning - I'm sure I've never seen something like that. (But I have to say, I don't look at snails twice 
Rome was no vacation, in comparison to my german hometown it is loud and chaotic and the streets are dirty. But I enjoyed the italian people to which I talked because most of them were warm and friendly. I was in Rome 5 days and we walked through Rome 7 hours per day - but the city is so big I have only seen the biggest sightseeings (Colosseum, Catacombs, Ostia and Vatikan etc.)

i know, i'm from milan but i know that one of the biggest problem of this days of rome is how cahotic it is ^^ but people are friendly
