Been a fan of the Resident Evil games since 1998 (I officially count RE5 as the true ending to the franchise in terms of good quality games). Β
Halo is a love/hate relationship (prefer the novels over the games themselves).
Been on an on/off relationship with the Call of Duty series (single-player person at heart).
As far as current favorites go, definitely Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row 3 and Saints Row 4 for the fun factor. Β
Deus Ex for the story (Big fan of Human Revolution, can't wait for Mankind Divided), Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon.
Also a big fan of the Batman: Arkham Series.
What about Resident Evil 6? (It's anything but scary, however I really did enjoy the dynamic between the characters.) What's your opinion on the remake of Resident Evil 1?
I know what you mean. I'm also a single-player person at heart. It's a little less stressful/annoying.
The Saints Row games are awesome. Gotta love the zombie voice (and Nolan North's voice, because that guy is a genius.)
Deus Ex:Human Revolution is one of my most favourite games. Hopefully Mankind Divided will be just as good.
Have you ever played Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines?

RE6: Β Was really apprehensive at the time. I felt the story just went downhill, and the gameplay really didn't win me over either (the whole "you must buy skills to not have a hard time with the game" aspect killed it for me, and unfortunately, Revelations 2 suffered from a similar problem). Quick Time Events are also pretty obnoxious compared to RE4 and RE5. I felt that RE6 tried too hard to please every type of gamer, but didn't succeed in the process. Β
As for the characters themselves, I'm ambivalent about Jake (don't love him, but I don't hate him either), pleasantly surprised with Sherry as a government agent, not a big fan of brooding Chris again (I blame it on shitty writing), Helena and Piers are somewhat likable, and I missed Leon's cheesiness from RE4. Β As for Ada being involved in the story, I felt she should have retired the second Wesker bit the dust in RE5.Β
RE1 Remake: As for the Resident Evil 1 Remake, it's okay. Still blinded by nostalgia though, since Director's Cut was what I grew up with. Β Beaten the game with both Jill and Chris, and it's okay. Not a big fan of the Crimson Heads or Lisa Trevor to be honest.
Vampire: The Masquerade: Β I unfortunately did not play Bloodlines, since I didn't have a gaming quality PC at the time. I did play Redemption, though I had to use cheat codes just to experience the story.
