Any advice on pixel art? I see you have an avatar done this way. I just made me a new one but I feel like it lacks the pixel look despite using the pixel brush. I've been sitting on the same image for years.Β

Hello again! I know this is an old comment chain, but I was thinking about this conversation yesterday ^^
I made myself a pixel icon! It's the one I'm using right now. A while back, I purchased a p2u pixel icon base, but I never did anything with it. Yesterday afternoon, I decided to play around, and I'm really happy with how it turned out <3
I guess the best advice I have to give is trial and error. When I was sketching the hair on the base, I thought it looked really awful. When I coloured, though, it started to look a lot nicer! The finished product might look better than you think c:
Looking at other people's pixel icons to see how they make them may also help ^^ There's also no shame in using bases. And especially if it's p2u and you have some spare points, it's a neat little way to support pixel base creators.
