So I haven't edited my bio in a long time, so might as well do so now...This is my dA user page. In real life, people more often call me "Derek", while on the internet, people more often call me "Derino". So please call me "Derino" when conversing with me on the internet.
Really, I haven't used my dA in a long time because I have other stuff to do than drawing, like programming. Like...a LOT of programming. So much of the "recent" art you see on my channel is actually several months old and doesn't reflect my art capabilities today (which is probably crappier, because, again, I haven't drawn in a long time).

I noticed that, as well as the announcement you made on your FA. It's been really quiet over in dAmn too. A lot of people having left, since nobody has really contributed to getting the chat network up to par standards-wise or even for better ease of use. Now many of them, even the TFC and LCF crowds, has practically migrated to Discord now.

see, the thing about dAmn is, i literally cannot join. when i try to do connect, it cannot connect. that's really the only reason why i've NEVER peeked in to see how people are doing in those places.

please no. dA's chat is so primitive compared to discord -- there's no "this person is typing", there's no sound when someone posts something, and also i just don't like dA anymore anyways, and also getting back into dA's chat would be an obligation that i do not wanna keep, and...
really i'm just gonna keep creating reasons to not go back there.

I see. To be honest... I still wish I actually had found a way to make our own client and server, neither on Discord or dAmn, at least so it would be private and we'd be the ones to solve the problems, rather than leaving up to a community that obviously doesn't have the time, means, know-how, or at least care enough to.
And with all of our customizations instead. Also, the part where it doesn't make a noise isn't entirely true, except only if they ping you anyways. I also do kinda wish they had the "this person(s) is typing". The notifications and stuff is mostly just browser plugins, only they're outdated now, which sucks. Honestly, the whole dAmn server itself is fine, but they really just need a new client or chat system for it. Yet, there really isn't anyone willing to do it. I wish I could sometimes, if I didn't know it wasn't going to be stupid difficult to do it and all. I still wish they'd do something about the dAmn Messenger app for Android. That thing only works for certain devices, excluding my phone, and probably is just as outdated too.
