# About me
I originally started this DA because it was something all my artist friends were getting into. They were a few years late to the party, I suppose, but eh.... Anyway, I hadn't been able to even so much as doodle since I was 10, so it was mostly just so that I could comment here and there. Not even two years of art classes could break my artistic (of the visual sort, anyway) firewall.That changed with MLP and the discovery of vector art. It's strange, but the 4th generation MLP drove me to try and draw like never before in my life, and vectors seemed to be the medium I was waiting for. Working with lines and curves that I can pull into position meant that I could get everything "just right" without having a clear mental image to go on; the act of vectoring itself molded the image for me like a sort of external "mind's eye".
Suffice it to say, I'm ecstatic to finally have an outlet.
I've always been something of a MacGyver: I can turn anything into anything; be it household bits, html, images, or sound. But as for raw creativity—creating something from nothing—I've always felt brain-dead. I have never really understood the reason. To that end, my MLP OC character, Sky Shatter, is the first thing I feel I created whose details came into being without being shaped from something else I found appealing. While inspiration from one thing or another can be found here and there, it all folds together into a simple design I really feel came from me, rather than an amalgamation.
It may be a small or simple accomplishment to some, but for me, it's a precious first.
TL;DR: I've been here awhile; I didn't draw for a long time, now I do—yay—ponies ponies ponies; and, oh yeah, I do other stuff ↓

Again, sorry for the slow reply. Still~ dealing with issues that's keeping me unmotivated to art or do anything DA-related. No it's not good, yes, I'm hoping it works out. No, I have no idea if or when. It's been several months in progress.

Yup. I don't remember why I got it in the first place, probably because it was the new thing everyone was doing and I like to keep my name protected in busy sites. I tossed up a little CG thing I did that showed my ship from a game I played called Jumpgate, though I didn't really consider it creative art. It was just a proto-vector of the ship model that I then trussed up with some brushes and put together a background.
I didn't start actually drawing until, you know, PONIES! Rarity's been my muse, and all you guys the nitro fuel that's pushed me to do what I never thought I could.
