...You recognized it as Ortiz/Kestrel? Seriously?
YOU ARE AWESOME. xDDD I didn't think that'd be a whole fandom or anything... huh. (i don't even know that many people who've read the books. XD) Do you think maybe you could direct me to some of your favorite pieces? C:
I almost cried when Ortiz died. D: I'm glad you liked my writing, though--you're very kind.

There's about 26/27 pieces of writing on Fanfiction.net with several Ortiz/Kestrel pieces in that number. Just go to Books and Wind on Fire and there you go!
I know how you feel about not that many people reading the books. Most I know seem to have never read them (SHOCK! How could they miss out on this series!) or read them when they were young and have forgotten all about them... Shame on them,
Plus, have I mentioned how glad I am that you ship Ortiz/Kestrel? That there is some one else who thinks Ortiz shouldn't have died (William Nicholson, how could you!)??
Well, I am.

Ah, thank you! There are not nearly enough good Wind on Fire fanfics and far too many crappy Twilight ones. :/
Exactly! I went to the length of raiding the basement of my old school library to find those books. I smuggled them out, cleaned them up, and gave them a nice new home on my bookshelf since they were mouldering down there with the rats. -tries to justify herself-
I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. They were perfect. I have only ever cried/almost-cried at a very few books. Probably less than ten. Slaves of the Mastery was one. DDD: Oh, Mr. Nicholson, if you ever made a mistake as a writer, that was it. Sighhh.
I'm glad too. xD It's good to know you're not the only one in a world drowning quietly in crappy teen-angst romance who ships a truly good pairing. -patpat-
