Just saying, while Damian's spriting started out as simple recolours, he now however creates nearly completely custom sprites. The ONLY qualifier designating that as "fan art" is the name Pokemon. However the art is an original creation by Damian, and the characters are the creation and property of the respective owners.

I'm not saying I disagree with you; they could still fit under general pixel art just fine. They were just in Game Development Art before, which is the wrong category as they are not being made for any game (as far as I'm aware he's just doing them for fun).
