I haven't really watched Pretty cure but I've been planning on watching it some time!

You really should get into it. Sure, some seasons aren't as good as others, but overall, it's enjoyable. Besides, the newest season is, going by its logo, supposedly themed after Witches. It's called "Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure", and people are hoping it's going to be similar to either "Sugar Sugar Rune" or "Ojamajo Doremi".
I can recommend starting out with ones such as "Suite", "Smile", "Yes! Pretty Cure 5", and "Fresh". "Futari Wa Pretty Cure", "Heartcatch" and "Go! Princess" are said to be the best of them, so I don't recommend starting with them since they can set the bar pretty high and make the others look bad by comparison.
