Yes thanx for that question . When I was way younger than I am today, I was in high school (age about 16) and we had German courses. I wasn't that fond of the German language and preferred drawing in stead. So one day I started to draw our German teacher, Ms. Munnichs, who was a lovely person but had a particular appearance. Slowly bodyparts like the whole body, nose, ears etc started to disappear and the Munnichs creature became a variety of different, smaller figures. The Munnen. This transformation took about 6 years to complete and in 2002 I made the first 'Munnen drawing' for a friend's birthday. This one: jompie.deviantart.com/art/One-… . This drawing was framed and got so many positive comments, I was motivated to draw a few more of them. Slowly the creatures evolved and now, after a development span of nearly 18 years, they are what they are today. Highly interactive, friendly and basic creatures which have the ability to resemble our beings in a very close way. And they are a solid part of my life today and I think they will be for many years to come.

That is so cool. I really like them because it's like they are little images of us in our basic forms! LOL

Thanx a bunch! And indeed, it all starts with an idea and once passed that, it's building and improving and evolving.
I have to admit that they pop up by themselves in some way.....since I never know what I will draw when starting with a white paper in front of me. And I don't draw very often but once in a while this Munnen-draw-urge comes up and then they NEED to be created .
It's a strange thing.....


By the way, do you perhaps have some good DM ideas I can use for this series? Pictures but especially the setting/story that goes with them.
