It seams we are on the same wavelength. I love the hats and cell phone charms. I've done some hat making just for my friend and myself but that was about 6 years ago. I want to get back into that but also incorporate kanzashi. I'm a beginner and have a long way to go.

sorry for commenting all over your page, lol. I'm home from class today, and I was working through my mail, and sort of ended up looking at all your pretty things.
anyways, I don't know if you'll use it, but I have a link or two to some really inexpensive supplies that you can use with your kanzashi (I have loads of ideas for doing my own if I could, but fabric hates me). one can be a bit expensive, depending on what you're looking at, though.

this one's the more expensive one, but it has washi paper, and all sorts of things.

this one's a link to mizuhiki cord, or cord made out of washi paper, that's then wrapped in bits of silk or foil, that you use to make ornamental knots.
Since you like Japanese culture and crafts, I bet you'll find them very cool either way.

Your Kanzashi style floral pieces are very pretty. Although the floral pieces that I create are in a different category I have always admired the Japanese floral style. Good luck!
