Exactly - as life gets crazier, it seems dA sort of falls out of my thoughts. Wow, hopefully finals went alright for you? I guess you're onto a summer break right about now, so hopefully it's a little more relaxing!

I'm doing really well! I'm looking forward to changing up my routine and working/traveling this summer before I move. So, overall, life is good.

Truth be told, I just don't draw anymore aside from the odd doodle. I don't have my tablet with me, so even if I end up liking something I sketched, I can't digitalize it. 

And I'm actually taking some courses over the summer so I can't relax yet. Fingers crossed I don't get burnt out before the real school year kicks back up.

Traveling, huh? Inside the US or are you going international?

Ah, I totally get that feeling. For so many months during the year I hardly even have time to open a sketchbook, and even when I do I never seem to draw cats quite as much as I'll draw people. So, even when I do upload stuff it's pretty much ignored ;D

Oh wow, what summer course are you taking? Aha, just make sure to make a little time to relax and I'm sure you'll be just fine. It's a good idea to get ahead and take some courses (:

I'm actually going to fly to England, which is pretty crazy. It's going to be a week-long trip to London, and honestly I'm so, so excited.

I've definitely been doodling more humans than cats in my free time, too, haha. Finally leaving that Warriors lifestyle behind. 

Organic chemistry and molecular biology. Woo, so fun. I liked organic, but biology is a snooze-fest to me. 

England is great! I went there a few years back for the olympics. Are you sticking to London for the most part or doing some wider exploring? Because if you're trying to get out of the city, be sure to check out stonehenge! It is, hands down, my favorite monument because it doesn't make any sense. I hope you have fun! Tell me about it when you get back!

Oh wow, those are pretty tricky and intricate subjects - hopefully you're surviving okay? I'm going to have to take quite a bit of organic chemistry in the future so it's a little relief that there's someone out there who doesn't hate it, haha.

I'm so excited! Yeah, I'm pretty much just in London since the trip is a week and there's so much in that city alone to see. Then again, the stonehenge sounds amazing and almost a little mystical so maybe I'll have to take a day trip out there... Thanks - I'll for sure tell you all about it! (:

And yes, I finished those classes a few months ago, at this point I much prefer organic chemistry to general chemistry!

Ahh don't even worry about it - look at me, replying to this a month and a half later...

Organic is such an interesting field! I'm taking organic chemistry as part of my syllabus next year, so until then I'm stuck with courses like "understanding solids", etc., haha.

London was absolutely amazing! I wish I could go back this summer or just live there, but unfortunately it was wayyy to expensive, especially for schooling... But at least I know that it's a place I'd love to go to whenever I have the opportunity.

I think this is the fastest response time I've had in the last 3 years. 

I loved organic because it's so much more dynamic than the sort of reactions you see in general chemistry. It takes a lot of work, but once you've got a study pattern down, it's pretty easy! I am taking biochemistry right now - I'll let you know how that goes!

Yeah the prices in London are pretty cray cray. I think the most expensive place I've been to is Switzerland. $4 for a bottle of water? No, thanks.

Wow, that's so fascinating! I can't wait to take that kind of course next year (although it's a bit intimidating, in all honesty). I suppose it's a fairly big part of my degree, so I'm sure I'll like it though. Good for you! Biochemistry is one of those fields I've always been so intrigued by but totally incompetent at. Chemistry is fine, but when you add in the biology portion my brain just seems to shut down. ;D Please do let me know how it goes!

Holyyyy I will have to keep that in mind if I'm ever planning a trip to Europe which includes Switzerland... It's so unfortunate how expensive some of the world's most fascinating places are to travel to... :\

And here I am, responding to your message nearly 4 months later. I am so bad at checking dA. 

Also, biochemistry turned out to not be awful - it's just a lot of memorization regarding what metabolite gets converted into what metabolite, but you don't have to know the mechanisms like you do in organic chemistry. I think they realized that would be way too much information to require of students - at least at my school. 

My plan is to just do some island hopping around the US until I make enough of my own money to travel to Europe. But I think I would like to do one major tour of Europe and dump a lot of cash out, rather than drawing it out over multiple trips that'll cost more in the long-term because of the repeated plane ticket purchases. 

So, since it's been four months, what are you up to now?

Agreed. It's my first year at college, so it has been super stressful from the adjustment point of view (and doing my own laundry ). It could be worse and it could be better, as always. I just wish I had more time to draw and more inspiration. I feel like I never post anything on dA anymore :/ I've been working a little more on humans, but they're not turning out so well, haha. I think I need to revisit some old characters

I draw in bursts whenever I see a pen and paper, and it usually turns out well, but it's just a pen sketch so I don't submit I'm making a costume of Riven, from the game League of Legends. The LED's light up the sword

Just for fun I don't have any cons in mind, but I'll take it to one eventually. Costumes take forever! The best time to work on them is in the summer - it makes everything easier, especially spray painting!

That sounds like a good idea! There's sooo many cons that happen every year that I'm sure you'll find a great one once you're done with the costume. I would have to completely agree with you there - I feel like i can do almost anything in the summer when compared to the winter
