Sheeeeeeeez! It's been forever and a half since I've talked to you. To finally answer your question, everything's splendid. My summer was great! I actually was in LBI for a week during July, and it was fantastic. The pictures of mine that you see of a beach, are ones from there. It was some awesome surf, I'll tell ya! Anyways, on top of that we were in Ohio and Pennsylvania seeing friends and family. Oh, and we also headed up to Canada to see some family. So you could say it was quite an eventful summer.
Right now, school is going really well, and I'm currently interning with an organization that's sort of partnered with my church called Youth for Christ, and it's been a really great experience so far. I get to do a lot of media type stuff, including photography, video editing (which I'm still getting the hang of because I'm use to just filming), graphic design, and music (mostly for the videos). I'm also pretty involved with ministry work, which is awesome. This year's been off to a good start so far.

That's awesome about your internship!! It must be a lot of fun and quite a learning experience.
And I've been okay these days. School and family issues have been taking a really big toll on my mood and stress levels, but other than that, it's been pretty good. Hopefully as the year goes on, things will start to even out, but for now, I need to learn how to work through some crap.

The usual guy trouble. And I feel shitty because I'm sick. ANNDDDDD I have to go to a sweet 16 that I could not be less dreading going to. The last thing I want to do is be in a loud room with bitchy girls, wearing heels and a dress, and feeling like I do.

Aww. Well, that doesn't sound like fun. Why do you have to go to the sweet 16? I mean if you are sick and are feeling really bad, then you honestly shouldn't feel like you have to (if that's the case).
Anyways, in the meanwhile, just drink lots of green tea and chicken soup! ALSO, drink as much water as you can drink throughout the day. My friend recommended that to me, and after the first day of doing it, I felt almost 100% recovered by the next day.
If you end up having to go, the best thing to do is just to stay with people you know or mingle with others in groups. That was it's not awkward and you're not alone.
I've been pretty good. Photography has been really nice and I've also been playing a lot of guitar lately. School's been annoying, though, and getting in the way of a lot of things. I'm also trying to figure out how I'm going to raise money to go on a missions trip with my church youth group this summer. I have to raise quite a bit, so I'm trying to figure that out. But yeah, it's been pretty good.

Yeah, I almost stayed home last night. I was starting to feel really achy like I did the first day I came down with whatever I have. But it went away when I was getting dressed, so I figured I'd just go. And I'd be able to just sit down at the table where all my friends were if I wasn't feeling up to dancing and all of that.
But I actually felt SO energized as soon as I walked through those doors, and all of my friends rushed off the dance floor and out of their chairs and came and hugged me. Then they immediately dragged me off onto the dance floor and we just had an ah-mazing time.
And thank you for the advice! I've also heard that about water from my grandma.
UGH, I ~completely~ know what you mean about school getting in the way of things. I feel your pain.
And that's really good that photography and guitar have both been very enjoyable! I'd imagine that they'd both be a very good stress-reliever, especially in terms of school.
And I've been in your same position for fund-raising for church trips. We raised a big portion of the funds for our trip by having a big bake-sale. And this was over the course of three Sundays, I believe. We made a very pretty penny, and it definitely helped us out a lot with our fund. We also found that just putting little signs up in the church lobby and downstairs in the youth group area where the adults come down to eat and mingle with each other really helped, and they would donate to our fund.
I hope you can go on that missions trip!!
