Yea they got into if it broke don't change it kinda mood with Neos and the Elemental Hero monsters but they did a good job with that with all the different combinations, and they did space out all the alternate versions of Stardust in 5Ds so it didn't get old fast, but with those few episodes I saw I saw at least 2 forms the original and a shining ray mode or something like that and I've seen plenty of the puns on the number monsters. as for the protagonists I agree tho I always saw Yugi and Jaden as around 15ish while Yusei is definitely older then 18 but yea they just made the wrong move with ZeXal, I like the XYZ monsters just wrong anime to use but that's just my opinion if they make another I hope they can get it right again

Yes... Yusei was 18 years old when 5D's started, and 20 years old when they finished it. To the surprising, Yusei didn't show up in the "Future", though his friends (Aki, Jack, twin, Crow) did.

Also, Dark Synchro already had black border when 5D's show processed on, then Xyz Monster (AKA Exceed Monster, fanslation) stole those color and became official cards.

The reason why I favorited Yusei Fudo is because of his Duel record, his personality and the way he played. He only had 1 loss in the entire Duel Career on Anime version... That was Jack Atlas on the foot duel.

I don't mind the protagonist losing a few times its realistic but the dark synchro monsters would have been nigh impossible to get into the actual card game so I don't mind on that part and I'm not surprised they didn't show Yusei made him go mysterious badass on us

Nor turned evil, like with other three; Atem went corrupted by the Seal, Judai lost himself in the darkness and Yuma's body was taken by Astral's darkness. Yusei's just perfectly fine and his mind was clearly for a long time.

At least, thanking Jack for beat him on the ground duel; that's only record Yusei had even losing so far.

Didn't know about Yuma turning evil but Atem name for the series technically was "YAMI" Yugi and yea Yusei pulled people out of the dark and yet never fell into it himself

Yuma didn't into the evil yet - only Astral did, twice. First "Number 96: Dark Mist" possessed Astral's body once and lost, second; after Astral discovered that Yuma was using Barian's Force cards behind his back, he turned corrupted and went "Dark Astral" before fused with Yuma to transforming into "Dark ZEXAL".

Yami Yugi is just "dark personality" version of Yugi Muto, except that he's a pharaoh of the Egyptian. The reason why he went corrupted was because "The Seal of Orichalcos" inflicted him to going aggressive and used his monsters that he cared as friends, as tools to smashing Rachael down (Rachael was the one passed that card to him via "Exchange" effect).

Judai Yuki went dark because of his friends that he cared dearly believed to be erasing via the power of "Super Polymerization" that Byron used. Byron was defeating and the fusion effect was incomplete so Judai took it, only to discovering the Supreme King within himself (like Yami Yugi is to Yugi, only worst) to surfacing and took over his body. "Haou Judai" didn't disappearing after his defeat and was merging with Judai along with Yubel when Judai switched the target of "Chain Material" from 12 different Level Monsters to himself and Yubel.

Yusei's just remaining clear mind through hard and high place. Through his trust and faith on his friends and his decks, I am sure that he didn't containing any darkness within himself. So yes, Yusei's one tough cookie to break - like a diamond-hard cookie. After all, he only had 1 loss, some bunch of interrupted/duel break-up and rest are his winning record.

But again, all protagonists, except Yugi, got their face slap/punch by the closest person they knew (Yami Yugi got punch by Joey; Judai got back-slap by Asuka; Yusei got shining slap by his father and Yuma received a bitch slap from Kotori). Only Yugi got a "pinch" - a softly, hearty kiss from Rebecca, and he got away with it.

Oh my mistake when you said seal I thought you meant the seal that bonded the pharaoh soul with the millennium puzzle not the seal of oricahalcos. The other stories I knew minus ZeXals. Honestly I think those punches/slaps were well deserved and helped them get to where they needed whether it was to break free or break outta a funk
