Well I only put me coordinates in a couple of days ago and when I did it just said "these devs are within 100km of you", bloody yanks and thier km's. And there was like nearly 2 thousand of them and the trouble is people don't put thier town or city in in the Dev info so I couldn't really tell ya! Erm it was alphabetical but I had to sit and wade through them trying to find like minded people or arteests! Oh yeah, Hi to you to CoffeeSquid. Nearby contacts used to arrange by how far they were away from you, closest first. Now I believe it's in no real order. :/

Oh and I forgot to mention, you do say 6 modules in a year, like 3 or 4 are Games Design, but for the other 2 or 3 you can do ANYTHING from across the entire Uni's range of courses.

Games Design / Animation
Games Design / programming (AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID)

But to do the art ones you need a Uni-level art foundation, but tbh that would kick some ass anyway as I'd LOVE to spend extra year in this town given the chance.

Hmmm, So they're teaching the course at the park campus? that does seem quite out of place, I'm studying my foundation at the moment at pittville but I never knew they put your course over there, possibly because they see it as a highly computer aided course?

anyway...with my foundation hopefully I'm giving myself time to think and keeping my options open for me to choose my degree course.

Haha yeh, cheltenham is a very snazzy place...the atmosphere compared to gloucester wins hands down, people seem less aggressive and naive compared to glos.

Hehe, nah I had a 60 tauren warrior but ONLY just to 60 before I had to quit due to the Uni blocking WoW. The only item I had in that picture was the pirate hat. :] - I *did* have an epic shadowpriest but, they're not very exciting to play.

Little too early to tell, so don't quote me on this but I'm loving it so far. There's been a few minor issues with stuff like genre, in my opinion the lecturers are a bit out of date when it comes to video games as a media. They need to do some reading imo, but I've given lots of feedback and I hope they update some stuff.

The modules are all great apart from programming, it's seriously rubbish and nothing like it seemed to be in the first week. (And now it's too late for me to change, hurrah )

One thing that has really pissed me off is the fact that the Games Design course is on the *WRONG* campus, it's on the Business campus so, if you're like me and you only really mingle well with creative and alternative types then, maybe socially it'll suck a bit at first. It's taken me like 3 weeks to make some friends, who I hardly ever see due to them being at the good campus'.

The town itself kicks ass, really safe place to go and mainly consists of Alternative/Indie/Punk/Rock/Metal clubs and bars, though Ive even been to places that do Dance/Trance/Garage and the atmosphere was ANYTHING close to chavvy.

There've also been a few minor cockups along the way of the course, but it's only the first year so... To be expected.

I'd recommend it.
