And right? I got it last year for my birthday; it has totally replaced my laptop screen and old pen tablet. Only downside is that I can't move it around much without breaking my back in the process.

Cintiq's are the best. I love mine and would never go back. It is my main monitor now even though my main monitor is a lot larger. I wish they could do something to make it a little more mobile as well. Can't wait for them to put out a 24 or 27 inch tablet that does the same thing...lol.

It is my main monitor now as well!

They actually have come out with a 24 inch Cintiq; that's the one I have!
And recently, they came out with a 27 inch Cintiq that looks a bit lighter [and sleeker] than the 24 inch. Though, from the looks of it, they didn't actually make it any bigger, they just got rid of the borders around the Cintiq to allow for more drawing room. 
Instead, they have moved the "Express rings" and shortcut buttons to a remote. Though, in my opinion, I prefer them directly on my Cintiq. Constantly keeping a remote in my hand and having to break away from my piece to look at it seems like it would stifle my work flow, y'know?

They have also come out with a new version of the Cintiq Companion called the Cintiq Companion 2. I believe it is larger than the previous Cintiq Companion, and thinner as well.

I too have the 24". I am still a big fan of Apple and don't want to go back to working on a PC or even mess with the Android platform and that has been the negatives of getting a Companion 2. I don't really have big issues with either Windows or Android, I just like what I am familiar with.

I may end up purchasing a Companion at one point because I would like to take my art with me without lugging around a laptop and a 24" art tablet. I eventually don't even want to bring my laptop with me when I go out of town. I want to simply take a tablet that I can create art on and have all the benefits of working on a Wacom device.

Ahh, I see!
I've never really used Apple products aside from my iPad and iPhone, so I can understand where you're coming from as far as using something unfamiliar to you.
Personally, I think a Companion would be a good investment for a professional artist. I am currently saving up for one right now, so I can have something mobile. 
Up until I got my Cintiq (my previous pen tablet had wayyy too many issues), I was using ProCreate on my iPad to draw digitally with, and while the app is amazing for the platform it's on, drawing on the iPad simply doesn't compare to drawing with a Wacom product (of any kind, really); so I decided it'd be best to save up for that shiny new Companion to use for my mobile 'ventures.

I've seen countless good reviews about the Companion, so if you do decide to get one, I think the operating system adjustments you'll have to make will be well worth the time and money you'll be spending.

I'm actually good with Windows, it is just the integration within my entire house is done with Apple. I have a Windows computer for gaming purposes, but for work and art, I use my Mac and my Cintiq. 

I definitely agree with you on drawing and painting on the iPad. The programs typically (due to the amount of memory the tablet has) scale down the art if you start it on a computer. They can't create a pen that comes close to matching any of the Wacom's pens.

I will take another look at them. I have a few business trips on my schedule this year and I don't really want to carry around a laptop anymore.

If you end up getting one soon, you'll have to tell me how it compares.
