Because I love them for their music and I don't care if they sold out or whatever, I love Hybrid Theory, Reanimation and Meteora I even love Collision Course! Don't get me wrong, I hate most rap (I can't stand Chingy, 50 cent and all that shit) and I'm not going to buy a Jay-Z album or anything because he collaborated with Linkin Park. But as a Linkin Park fan you should know that Linkin Park is a Rock, Rap and Electronica band, it's a mix! You should check out Collision Course and it doesn't matter if you don't like it, Linkin Park will make a new album of their own and I'm sure it will be great and I don't care if I have to wait another year, cause I'm sure it's worth it! And who are you to say that they 'sold out'??? They didn't even get any money for the collaboration with Jay-Z because there were so much record labels in on it, next to that is the fact that Jay-Z chose Linkin Park to do the collaboration not the other way around. They did it for fun and because they know that there are a lot of Linkin Park fans that do love rap! And because you won't hear that much from them the coming year because they're going to work on a studio album, they thought it would be nice for the fans to listen to something new and fresh in the meanwhile.

Now don't say that I probably like them for their looks or anything cause I don't.

And calm down, I'm not having a go at you, it's just that I really don't like the movve they've made here, and I'm sorry to pop your bubble, but lp did get plenty of money from this, the fact that there were many record labels involved ment that lp got money from many record labels. I do realise that lp are a rock, rap, electronica band, I have nothing against that, I did actually like there rap (mike shinoda), I don't like rap yes, but I don't like it for what it's always about; pimp this and crack that, so I didn't mind mike's rap because it was actually about something meaningful. I have heard the numb one which I thought was shit, I looked at the cd in a shop and considered buying it, I was disgusted to se this "papercut/Big Pimpin", what the fuck does papercut have to do with pimping. I didn't even ming the rap on Reanimation, because it was still meaningful, but collision course is nothing like linkin parks style, it's complete shit. Ok so Jay-Z aproached linkin park... Big Fucking Deal! They could have just said "No, you commercial rapper peice of shit!" the law didn't force them to say yes, I still listen to there old stuff but I no longer bother with them anymore, there are plenty of other good bands that don't completely sell out just because a rapper ,asks them to do a collaboration. The only reason he wanted to do this is because he's announced that he will be making no more songs of his own, so this was a good easy way of making money.

Sorry, but you just have to admit, lp have sold out here, but you may be right, there next album mite be the sort of thing I like, and if it is I will buy it.

I know what you mean I hate all the: 'I'm a pimp watch my bling-bling, yeah dude' And I didn't like the idea of Linkin Park collaborating with Jay-Z at all, but I do like hearing Linkin Park a little different, even if that means Mike is rapping about bitches and being a pimp and all that shit. I like Collision Course more for the music then for the rapping and hearing Chester sing a little more 'happy' then normal. And I know that they get money out of it, but they could make a lot more money by putting some Meteora demo's or songs that they didn't put on Meteora or HT on a cd and selling that. The reason that they made Collision Course is because they thought it was fun and because a lot of Linkin Park fans would like it. We can have an endless discussion about this cause I think they did it for fun and you think they did it for the money

Linkin Park is what gives me enough confidence to show my face to people, I respect them with all my heart, I still believe in them even though I know that Collision Course isn't as great as a Linkin Park studio album and isn't that meaningfull and wouldn't have saved me as Hybrid Theory and Meteora did. It's just some fun for them and the Linkin Park fans that are more into rap. I'm fine with it and respect them I don't know why you should be ashamed for the fact that Linkin Park's music has kept you alive.
